I feel sorry for the guys. Constantly under the microscope and being held to impossible standards. What show is 11/10 every episode? Think of it this way, we now have the old Top Gear (Grand tour) and a very enjoyable new Top Gear now that Evans is gone.

Open a beer and enjoy it for what it is. Episode two was very enjoyable for me. Now where do I find 1.6 million ront for that Alfa?

Watched the ep on DSTV and they just aired the Ferrari segment and Kazakhstan... seems I missed a boat load that didn't make it into the editing

I'ma saying it now, and I don't care who agrees or likes it... This show, is beginning to look like a PROPER Top Gear car show.

Jeremy and co had years to develop the chemistry they have but, even now, left on their own with no Evans in sight, Matt and Chris are getting there. I loved the "left turn" at Hammerhead Aston/Mercedes segment. Rory will find his way too and it did him no harm to put him in the Golf with Sabine... I can watch her lap the Nürburgring all day.
Matt's 124 segment was fantastic, and, all in all, the biggest disappointment from last night's show was that it was only an hour long...

Like it, don't like it. Use it, don't use it, I don't care. I can't wait to see Chris in the Bugatti and Matt on the Ducati next Sunday.

Agreed 99%! The 1% disagreement is because your ending missed out "and Rory in the Twingo".

It is so much better since Evans left. The only let down is the in studio stuff, it's too forced and scripted. But the clips are much better.

Alright 2403 really took a noticeable leap forward from just 2 epi's back.

Nicely done guys!

1st off the AM DB11 segment was excellent...Yes excellent. And cinematography...Wow...Pure class.

2ndly the CSS segment. Most enjoyable. We know Sabine is a legend at the 'Ring.

Once again proves to the naysayers it's way more than just a "Golof". It's a track-honed machine.

3rdly Abarth segment. Had a nice charm with it. I don't aggree with their views about it being a "bad" car though. Excellent MX-5 underpinnings with just enough of its own Italian character....a lovely machine.

So this week has very very little to fault but:

- I still find some of Joey's jokes way to cheesy & just forced

- The current setup for the "Star" segment is horrendous...Jeez. The guest sits there for ages. All 3 of them have this nonsensical banter. They jump from news to the interview.Just restructure with 1 (one) bloke or bin it entirely.

Other than that a most enjoyable episode.

Lol at this:

Top Gear America Has Landed And Here Are Its Three Hosts

With the demise of Top Gear USA, there’s a new American Top Gear coming later this year! This time, though, it’ll be called—wait for it, wait for it—Top Gear America, and will be hosted by actor William Fichtner, drag racer Antron Brown and auto journalist Tom “Wookie” Ford. Can this succeed where Top Gear USA didn’t?

You’ll remember William Fichtner as the badass in films like Armageddon and The Dark Knight. He often plays a strict, reserved character, which makes it interesting that he’ll be hosting what is, essentially, just a show about dudes playing around with cars. Who knows, maybe he’s got a lighter side that I’m not used to seeing.

Alongside Fichtner will be Antron Brown, a world-champion drag racer who we showed a few years ago walking away from a massive explosion on the drag strip.

In addition to the actor and drag racer will be a British auto journalist Tom “Wookie” Ford, who you’ll undoubtedly remember as the dorky bearded guy from Fifth Gear.

So we’ve got a dorky bearded man, a race car driver and a celebrity. Sounds familiar.

All three of the new hosts are supposedly gearheads, so that’s good.

The show will launch on BBC America later this year. The network says it will involve reviews of “exclusive and state-of-the-art vehicles,” as well as old-school quintessential American iron. There will be a leader board for celebrity guests who compete to get the best lap times around the track at Speed Vegas, and, of course, there will be a Stig.

It’s all sorta familiar, except there are three new hosts, and we all know that when it comes to shows like Top Gear, it all comes down to chemistry between the hosts. We’ll see how William, Antron and Tom get along in the eight episodes expected to air later this year.

Definitely looking forward to the next episode (particularly the Ducati segment). I wonder though whether it will just be a drag race against the Chiron or whether they will do something totally un-Top Gear like and actually review a bike (sacrilege on the previous show :D ).

Ouch Roux, that's brutal. You didn't strike me as one of the heartless mofos on here, but congrats on getting your own badge.

I still stand by it being a good episode (and I was watching it at 01:00 on Monday no less lol).

2402 done. The Alfa Giulia QV insert with Chris was most enjoyable *until* Roy showed up with a boring "wall" challenge & just ruined it.

The Star/News combo section was rather bad ito of jokes & zero interest. Still weird how all 3 interviews the Star.

The Las Vegas "hangover" skit was cringeworthy.
The rest of the challenge was ok did drag in some parts.

On the whole Joey's jokes are rather crappy.
Bring on the wall!

Lol, oh come on, the Last Vegas skit was epic, did you check that Tiger!? It looked fake until it moved and blinked, gave me goose bumps.

The wall challenge was stupid, they did not do the Giulia enough justice

EDIT:

Busy watching S24 E3

Man, that S63 Coupe would get my money, not a fan of the D11, I loved the DB9 and DBS .

The guests segment is weird, especially in this episode, looks like a bunch of middle aged people doing small talk at a swingers party.

They have to tone down the number of people interviewing the guest.

And is it just me or is Chris Harris becoming a better than Mr. Leblanc? He is rather clumsy in his acting but it's exactly that that makes it look more authentic, lol.

I'm a huge fan of the holy trinity and the grand tour is ok but I'm really liking this season of Top Gear.
