Ouch Roux, that's brutal. You didn't strike me as one of the heartless mofos on here, but congrats on getting your own badge.

I still stand by it being a good episode (and I was watching it at 01:00 on Monday no less lol).
Pay no attention. He's not heartless. It's just psychological.

Thanks, I was just so irritated with that episode. Plus that pooh sprayer can't shred and engine block, I have seen car shredders and they take a while to shred a car especially if the engine is still in it.

But I forget, this is Top Gear, it is a entertainment show not a car show so on that basis I can see why the third episode ranks highly.

Exactly! If anything, Top Gear is MORE factual than the Grand Tour was trying to be (and at least their celebrity guests don't die all the time), so take it for what it is. Entertainment ain't a bad thing.

It was fairly obvious there was no engine or gearbox in the car, or any part containing liquids.

What is up with that crap on The Grand Tour? I am glad they don't do guests, but the whole thing of each of them dying EVERY SINGLE TIME really got old. They must just stop it.

There is a reason why it is/was done.

Ito of contractual obligations with the BBC Amazon is not able to actually showcase any star in a car on the show.

The way GT was able to "kill" them was the closest way without upsetting the BBC.

But yes after 4/5 epi's it got boring & predictable.

Lol, the funny part is that I am not surprised such a clause existed in a contract, that's how ridiculous things get with contracts these days.

I thought it was just a straight up rip-off if Top Gear, but as is typical with anything involving those 3, they have to play close to the edge brilliant.

Really enjoyed episode 3. Matt is really doing a good job, he's more of a "everyman" and you can see he is a car guy. Evans always came off as a rich guy who buys expensive cars with no driving ability and trys to act young and hip.

I think I'm gonna make this a habit: just streamed Top Gear live :)

Another really satisfying episode: maybe the Rory haters will even give the man some credit, that long-anticipated piece on the Twingo wasn't half bad.

As for that Chiron, it's just car porn, straight and simple.

Here's to next week, with Sabine vs Chris (finally we get to see if Chris is as good a driver as he looks in isolation) AND a Ford GT in the USA. Should be a cracker!

Always stuck in second gear? lol, yeah caught that too. I thought the chat with the celebrity guest, Tiny, went really well: the jokes around his girlfriend in the Aston Martin came across really unscripted and funny.

He also called him Joey as he pulled away from the start line in the Bugatti.

I'm not minding the different style of interview, at least not this weeks episode.

Exactly! Us normal peeps don't often get a chance to beat the all-singing, all-dancing, gifthamper-winning FiestaST, so I had to put on my big boy pants and stay up to 09:00 to watch it live :p

Great episode, really liked it. That Pac-Man car game looks epic fun! Chris Harris continues to impress and his presentation of the Chiron was very well done. And then that Ducati. Oh that sweet, heavenly, sent from the Gods Ducati...

2404...most impressive! An excellent all-rounder epi actually.

Damn...that Chiron.,.what a work of art. Man that was car porn...Chris Harris doing what he does best.

The "Manpac" challenge was great as well. Did not feel drawn out. Watch Extra Gear to get insight into how it was done. The end with the Stig playing the game was a really cool touch.

The Star section was meh...as usual.

Lastly end challenge with Chiron & Joey with other forms of transport was great.

PS: really liked all the Joey/Friends references.

Ford GT next week....yes please.

Really enjoyed that episode. 10/10. The "boys" will have to up their game for season 2 as these kids are cooking up a storm.

I hope these guys do a cross-country challenge with that Chiron.

One of my very favourite episodes of old Top Gear was when Jezza was in the Veyron while Hamster and Captain Slow were in the Cessna and eventually had to land and use public transport, I still watch that episode when I catch a repeat.
