The top-selling TV brand in South Africa

Recently bought a Hisense, picture and quality close to damn near perfect for the price I paid.

I think that for most of us it comes down to what value we're getting at a particular price point.

Samsung and the like have without a doubt established their reputation in the market but Chinese brands are now catching up. I'd say I'm willing to give hisense a shot. Looking at what Xiaomi (I have one) and One plus have done over the last few years, Chinese manufacturers have stepped it up a notch. Even if we don't buy the Chinese, it's forces the competition to relook at their pricing- in the end we still win

I used to be very brand conscious . But lately I realised that most manufacturers, esp from the east, share electronic parts. I bought me a 50" Sinotec for their tik cheap price, and for their 5year warrantee. I figured in 5 years I'd be ready to upgrade my experience to the latest of the day. I'm happy with my decision.

I have to agree. I played some 4K movies through the USB port and picture quality is excellent. Is this is through the USB port. Not even the HDMI port.

I have had three Hisense TVs' ranging from 3 to 5 years old. All trouble free and working perfectly.

Bought the 65" December. TV is freaking amazing. UHD movies are beyond sexy. Screw LG, Samsung etc.

Played my UHD with my myGICA 4k player. All the functionality works. Picture is great. I was blown away with series's 1080 10 Bit Quality. It's beyond amazing...

So most people buy k@k....................

And how do you come to that conclusion?

The big name brands have some very shocking low end sets that nobody should even use.

Even the cheapest stuff from HiSense still beats those "name brand" options.

Considering I'm on my third expensive Samsung under warranty...I will never buy their k@k again even though they are highly rated.
