If there isnt I'm shifting to Lightroom.

There has to be a tablet type device - or something in that area.

Why you say that - whats wrong with aperture 2? I have come to hate adobe products.

Want to upgrade my mackbook with the apple tablet - wonder what the pricing will be like??!!

Lightroom is different to other Adobe products - eg. it's written in cocoa/lua and is fully 64-bit in OS X.

It's great software IMO

Apple coins major profits and moves iPhone and AppleTV away from subscription accounting.
Can anyone confirm that this means that 1) part of the record high profits announced are due to the accounting change, and 2) that future software updates for iPhone and AppleTV will be charged for in the same way that updates for iPodTouch updates are?
Jobs also referred to a "major new product" being released this week.
Sounds like everybody should be breaking out the credit cards - the 'JesusTablet' might be available for sale tomorrow.

A lot changes in a week. my revised prediction below:
With about a week to go to the 27 January product announcement, it's never too early to to start guessing about what is going to be announced by Apple.

So here goes.

Refreshed MacBook Pros, with a new uber-Pro 17" model, price drop across the range. New polycarbonate high end [MacBook] model, current model price drop to $899 - all available 'February'.
Refreshed XServe and new Mac Pro - available today.
New iLife and iWork and roadmap for 10.7 (touch-enabled),
iPhone 4.0 OS roadmap announced - a lot more content (newspapers, magazines, ebooks, etc) available through the App/iTunes Store - in-app purchase on steroids
and one more thing - [-]Touch screen iMac (Mac Touch?) coming in 'Spring'.[/-] 'JesusTablet' available today, with same content as iPhone OS - only bigger and better. Paper like you've never seen it before. Three month New York Times subscription included with purchase.

[-]No iSlate - that will be 2011+, no iPhone OS or new iPhone, that is for mid-year.[/-]

Anyone with different ideas?
Looks like whatever is going to be announced is going to be a content delivery system, maybe using a subscription model. And if the results announcement is anything to go by, then it will be available for purchase tomorrow.
Paying for iPhone and AppleTV software updates will be a bummer tho.

It's just old and missing a few features that I could really use.

Why would you think the tablet could be an upgrade, esp compared to a macbook?

Anyway - my prediction is it will be all about the tablet with maybe a smidgen of software. I dont think it will be available for a while though. They'll want some time to build up the app store.

Hate it when people do that

I can see all references to McGraw-Hill being deleted from the keynote slides as the story spreads... Moshe and his goons are probably on their way to Tim McGraw's house right now.:D

Unless this is a massive hoax... Jason Calacanis is revealing all the tablet details except the name on Twitter.

If it's true - he just fu<ked up the entire announcement experience for me - arse!

hmm... 2 1/3 out of 5... about the same prediction accuracy as most pundits. Maybe I should start an Apple blog:sick:

Seems like the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro updates are overdue though, wonder if they will drop next Tuesday.
