According to reliable sources, his wife Lumka, an ANC member of parliament, brought him a basket of goodies and was able to share it with him behind closed doors.

His fellow inmates were not allowed any food parcels from home, but the prison kitchen also did them proud with mutton chops, chicken and salad.

He would have got three months off his time for good behaviour.

It was said that he picked up dagga and a knife and handed them in to the prison guards.

Oh, how he struggles. It's so hard when the ANC has turned it's back on him...
...oh no wait, for a second there I thought we were living in a civilised country.

He's still a criminal, whom everyone with any influence at all refuses to acknowledge as one.

He took advantage of his rank, he's human. I would have doen the same, U to could have.

No, I would not have. It's abuse of a public trust in a country where corruption is rife. Also, don't assume that others share your views of morality.

Nothing like being corrupt eh? Be sure to mention your inclination towards corruptness in your next job interview.

Doesn't seem to make a difference if you confess at the interview or not ... look at Yengeni, he's going to walk back into a plum position once out of the slammer and go back to his corrupt ways. Just wish those damn apartheid struggle ties could be broken already because it's costing us oodles. Let's get some of the more competent chaps in and not just hand out jobs because of their connections.

Why does this suprize everyone ?

Bound to happen.

Guess some of us are eternal optimists, not surprising at all though unfortunately.

think the majority of the anc think the country owes them something and they're entitled to filling their back pockets.. and theres no one to make sure they behave..
