The useless Sentech "Bulletin Board"

wtf is the point of the bulletin board or for(us only)um when its not updated to the hour at least. Since Thursday morning the Sunnyside tower has been going on and off consistently. Not a word on the BB. Not a call from Sentech saying "sorry, we know we are ripping you off for these days but again we are sorry, they are testing how many reboots it takes to break a tower for statistical purposes. please be patient. the problem will be fixed in 5 minutes". Not even an email.

There should definitely be up to the minute posting on there for us users for any and every known problem. I for one am never going to check it again. What a pointless useless waste of my time. I hope the press is happy with Sentech since thats all it is (this BB thing) - a media tactic.

To the scanners:
Now please, after reading the above, get the fscking tower fixed already. It cannot take over 24 hours to fix the the fault that you created I mean you know what you broke after all. It was working fine before you fiddled with it. Sheesh

and not even a mention of the thieves stealing the bandwith. But then again if you give someone the key to your car did he steal it? [;)]

My analogy to the normal public is that its like going on holiday and leaving the front door open with the lights on. Basically a free for all.

Although somehow I dont think it was abused all that much since we would have heard about it via the ADSL side of the myadsl forum. I still suspect those so-called "hackers" are too blame.

Sure but then when you call they say "oh they are doing maintenance on the tower" I guess thats a shut-up mechanism.

We are the management software. At least 2 complaint calls should highlight a tower going down. At least thats what you would think.

Any one-way bulletin board is a waste of time, more so if it's not updated regularly. Sheesh. Who's going to check in daily to find it there's going to be a scheduled downtime? Make it a user forum or not, but then they won't do that.

If you want simple, one-way communications, mail your users. Sentech's got the addresses.

When it comes to marketing and communications, these guys are amateurs. Doctoral degress or not.

Man I hope they are having fun rebuilding the sunnyside tower. It has been totally off all day. Perhaps somebody just couldnt take it anymore. I think I am going to apply for a refund.. I dont give a flying f if its only R44 for two days downtime.
