Thats the good thing about Counter Strike Source (CSS). They dont allow you to become addicted, theres always a update that breaks the game so you cant play, or some noob keeps killing you repeatedly that makes you so mad at the game you log log out till the next day...

That article's very true indeed. That's exactly why I quit WoW.

my 2c

In my opinion the reason people get addicted to games, is because they are sheep, I played WoW for about 20 days then someone told me about "city of heroes", so I got that. Then I read an article about "everquest 2" so I purchased and began my adventures there.

Later on "Guild Wars" was released so I bought my self a cd key online and started life out as a monk, I have now unistalled GW and await the arival of "age of Conan".

I can't understand why people try something and then refuse to try anything else, for instance saix has given us so many awesome servers with so many diff games to try, but everyone only plays BattleField 2 and CSS.

I logged into Freelancer when the server opened, I was alone in the universe, I occasionaly play on the Ghost Recon server, only to be joined by the occasional European player.

But This mentality is only with gaming, you won't find yourself going to watch a movie at the cinema, and returning every week to watch the same movie?

Or purchasing a Car, and being content with it untill you die....

If you play something else you loose your aiming skills in CSS temporarily...

Alex, there's 3 reasons:
1. Cost - some of us can't afford to try a new game every week
2. Time - I don't have the time to learn or master 10 different games
3. Community - Online, you play where the people are.

So true

Yeah, I dont play on the SGS CSS servers where there arent ever any people. Some people even only ever play one map...

Exactly, there are S.A gamers out there that never even try different maps. Im sure they also eat exactly the same meal every night.
