Before Musk bought stake in twitter, the internet was fine.

Now everything must decentralize
Ironic.

Decentralization benefits freedom of speech. Which is what Elon is promoting.

The left are today's fascists.

I miss the 2000s internet. Sure websites didn't look as great as they do now and the internet speed was a little kak. But you had so many awesome and unique websites and forums and not 1000s of trackers etc. Most of them are gone now

Just use Brave browser. Natively blocks all the unnecessary k3k, no extensions needed. Just install and browse.

The internet is not broken so long as I can get to my destination fast. It is not broken just because you choose the wrong destination

Depends what you define as the "internet". Personally for me the internet is the TCP/IP stack on the WAN interface of my router with a public IP address. Everything else that runs on top of that is fluff. If you look at it that way there's nothing wrong with the internet.
Untill your packets cannot access certain services or networks because of the country of origin, or destination.

Or it gets low priority in order to push you to using different services.

So they are joining the conservatives then. Fascists emphasize the us vs them narrative to drive fear or outrage.

Sound like the conservatives and the liberals over the last few decades.

Some good socialist decentralisation sounds like a good thing right now.

The "Internet" is just ONE aspect of DIGITAL, the danger lies in other Digital aspects.

The fact of the matter is peak internet is internet forums. I don't have as much fun on "modern" social media as I have here.
Forums are not much different from old school BBSs. So I guess you need to go preinternet for the peak of “internet”.

Will not work.
Fundamental problem is: you cannot decree what people should think and may say. They will think on their own and day what they think.
How was that handled the 200 000 years of intelligent humans before the net?
How was talking in the pub late at night handled?
It wasn't. We understood it cannot be controlled.
Regarding news false and true: thw answer was figured out a few hundred years ago already. It was called "newspapers". The printed thing that had dedicated reporters, fact checkers, sub editors, cars, telephones, photographers and so on.
And there was more than one. They actually competed re reliability.
And no, news24 and IOL is not newspapers.
Very far from it ...

No, the internet is not broken. It is working perfectly well. What is happening here, is that the new global communist movement - the Democratic regimes, Socialist regimes and Communist regimes are looking at taking over the internet and controlling every aspect thereof or business operating thereon. They do not want freedom or freedom of speech. They want people to fear what they say, write and do. They want to control what people say, write and do.

This needs to be prevented at all cost.
Oh gawd... a *komminist hyter" enters the pub...
(Do you even know what communism is? Or socialism? Probanly not. I bet you are one of those actually believing the roads you drive on is privately owned by sonwone like you.)

If you sit back for a minute and think about it, he has a very valid point. Your history, be it Youtube, Google whatever eventually suggests and highlights subjects more in line with your history of viewing. And obviously keeps getting darker and darker. I have had evenings watching youtube where if you just keep on following the suggestions you end up on some pretty messed up shyte on youtube after a few hours xD
