The first full moon of the year is known as the "Wolf" moon.
This first full moon of the year was also a "Super Moon" because of it size, as a result of being the closest the moon's orbit comes to the earth.
A total eclipse of the moon also occurred and was visible over South America. IF you were particularly alert yesterday on the 21st, and you were on the west coast of SA, you might have just seen a small partial eclipse. It would have been visible for a very short period just before/after sunset.
The reddish colour, going yellow is ALWAYS visible on a full moon when you are able to see the moon rise over the horizon. Now table mountain would have been the ideal place on the 21st and 22nd to see the full moon rise over the horizon, giving those that saw it the best possible chance of seeing the reddish colour.
Just the fact that it has been taken seriously enough to be published is enough.
Let's not forget when Harold Camping declared the end of the world and hundreds of his followers sold their homes to pay for the billboards they placed across the world.
Was he ever taken to task for misleading people and forcing many families into poverty and homelessness?
