The Zulzi story - the online shopping platform behind Checkers Sixty60

Zulzi is a South African success story. Started in 2013 as an ecommerce platform to sell books and electronics, it has grown into an online powerhouse which supports the Checkers’ Sixty60 service.

Over the last few years Zulzi has delivered groceries of over R400 million and is now processing over 1,500 orders daily.

The company was founded by Vutlharhi “Donald” Valoyi eight years ago with the plan to improve the speed at which online shopping packages are delivered.

I really liked Sixty60 but not being able to turn off their stupid promotional notifications in their Android app was enough to make me never use them again

I hope they stick to the law and pass on all deliveries of 1Kg or less to the Post Office? This will be enough to get them a chapter on Hello Peter.
No, seriously, I wish Zulzi all the luck and success.

I turned off the only option available - Special Offers & Marketing Consent but I'd still get one or two notifications a day.

I ended up disabling notifications altogether in Android App settings to get rid of it.

Only if they are intrusive with notifications multiple times a day

Im not entirely sure but when creating my account I stipulated dont annoy me with ads along the way. Check that out?

Sixty60 for lazy bastards like us is magic.

I declined their marketing consent when I signed up. I also checked for the same in the Checkers Xtra Rewards App as well.

I've only used them a couple of times but the last two orders they didn't have stock of about half my basket and the substitutions as well, so I had to go out and get the stuff I needed by car anyway, negating the point of it.

Perhaps. Or a setting that is not registering. For what it's worth, I have a Xiaomi - advertisement central
