WHAT does China want from Africa -- EVERYTHING !

China wants everything from Africa: its strategic location, its oil, its rare earth metals, and its fish, leaving African nations indebted to Beijing.

“As a South African, I've seen China's activities on the continent up close,” says Ted Bauman, Senior Research Analyst at Banyan Hill Publishing. “It's clear that China's primary goal with foreign investment is geopolitical, not economic. The most consequential investments are undertaken by state owned companies, not by Chinese private capital. They tend to focus on infrastructure like highways, ports and dams, and on public networks like the electrical grid.”

What China Wants From Africa? Everything

You can now go and tell that to the poor starving povo in Zimbabwe ........

Oh crap, spoke too soon. Regressing.

Maybe they did not chase away any boers?

You seem to comment with complete willful ignorance or just outright stupid.

You probably also believe that the SA government have no policy against non-blacks and our government operate with all people as equals , right ?

I know its not compulsory but read up on just the last century history of Zimbabwe and you will not make/ask such stupid questions.

Anyhow your stupidity aside, yes every Zimbabwean brought this upon themself in the same way Hong Kong brought the China mainland problem on themself when they were oh too happy to force the british out of Hong Kong by signing that release.

Two different sides of the continent with similar baby cries when things go exactly the route initially envisioned and citizens are just so confused that they don't have the opportunities they were used to or were promised.

It's like everyone on this thread is intentionally ignoring the fact that there is a severe drought in Zimbabwe. Saying stupid things like "They should grow their own vegetables" and "they are just lazy" is just idiotic and lacks any compassion whatsoever. Droughts like this will become more widespread with climate change whatever Pegasus thinks.
A boer maak n plan.

Oh sorry, they told the boere to fk off, so no plan.

Yes you can. Lots of cultures managed to farm without the wheel, and not just in Africa. It's extremely labour intensive, but you can do it.

This is a stupid as hell post even from you Jabu. The bantu were not nomadic, they settled in the same place for long periods of time, had iron tools etc. They cultivated crops and stored them.

You think nomads are building settlements like this? Lel.

Would you mind pointing me to this on google ?
African farming has always been mostly subsistence , there is no debate there .

So let me get this straight.. The situation (and all the problems) in SA right now is also every South African's fault? YOU are also to blame for all the problems in this country even though you've never voted anc?

Am I reading the logic correctly you guys?

Reducing the explosion of colours was indeed a step torward rehabilitation. Next work on losing the infantile upper caps obsession. Finally focus on injecting something vaguely resembling sense into your posts and eventually your posts might potentially some day resemble something intelligible.
See if you can make sense of THIS

OK, let's just ignore all the other facts.

To a certain extent Zim mirrors something that happened ~90 yrs ago in the USA, the great depression, coupled with drought and bad farming practice. There a major problem was also brought about by key people leaving. Neither one in it's own made up the total crisis, yet combined it made for a devastating effect. No we see the same, but for different reasons.

China Builds Port in Bahamas, Provides ‘Military Assistance’ And Equipment 180 Miles Off U.S. Coast

Big League Politics has learned from Bahamian sources that residents are afraid to talk about the new Chinese installation in Coopers Town, which has a population of 676 on the island of Abaco. The 45-acre port was built by the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) and is financed by the EXIM Bank of China and the Bahamian government. The port is closed and the road around it is too small for even construction trucks to drive on. Locals speculate that the port will be used for submarines.

This underbelly is now being remade with Chinese cash. For instance, five countries there — Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, and the Dominican Republic — have joined Beijing's ambitious Belt and Road Initiative, an infrastructure plan meant to tie global trade routes to China

Here is the real reason

Remote Navy Submarine Test Base

The area also happens to be home to a particularly deep stretch of water called the Tongue of the Ocean, or TOTO, located to the east of Andros Island. TOTO is around 150 miles long, has a general width of around 20 miles, and is up to 6,000 feet deep at certain points. More importantly, it's a u-shaped trench that has a relatively flat bottom and is well shielded from ambient ocean disturbances and noise by Andros and other islands, reefs, and shoals that surround it.
This makes it an ideal area for AUTEC to test submarines and other underwater systems, as well as anti-submarine weapons and sensors on surface ships and aircraft. It is about as close to a laboratory setting in the real world as you can get and it's relatively easy to cordon off while testing and other activities are ongoing.
One of the primary activities that the Navy conducts within AUTEC's deepwater ranges, formally known as the South TOTO Acoustic Facility (STAFAC), is measuring the acoustic signatures of submarines. This is done for testing purposes, as well as to validate and confirm that a submarine's signatures are what they should be before an operational deployment or following major maintenance and refitting.

Failure to plan is planning to fail. TIA which African country is seriously planning for the future?

The apartheid government's planning kept us running the last 25 years.

Yep. "The old government could not build proper roads and that is we we have to replace them after 20 yrs ...". Who was that idiot?

Obviously pointing out this will now result in claims I'm all for pre-94. Nvm the fact that solid best practices are just a thing on there own and best does not confer race.

Am I reading the logic correctly you guys?

I can afford to pay my bills even though the government is fking things up.

The people voting for the ANC is the same people who cannot afford for a failing government.

So no, your logic is flawed. If these people who vote for the ANC were able to afford their own stuff and not expect free **** then it wouldn't matter what the ANC does to the country but the point I am making is that the people who require the government to take care is the same people suffering from the same useless government they are voting for.

TLDR; If you want free stuff then you better vote for a government who knows how to do their job. If you vote for trash then you will just suffer more.

It is? Well ok then, that showed me

Sooo I guess you're saying all the Zimbabweans (and there were probably millions of them) who never voted for or supported the Mugabe regime only have themselves to blame for the state Zim is in now? Including those who opposed land seizures and everything Mugabe and his buddies did? Gotcha.

I hope you don't think that every single Zimbabwean voted for ZanuPF........
