The problem is that hypocrites in power are still in power. Pointing it out won't help. In the end whether you like it or not the ones who win are right because they write the history books. You are not smart for being the canary in the coal mine. You are dead.

Someone quoted Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn earlier in the thread. By the way things are going, his comments on society will become more and more relevant.

If pointing out that hypocrisy rules doesn't help with the fact that hypocrisy rules, why bother talking about it in the first place? Seems to me that your hatred for the stupid things people say on the forum is pointless, since it couldn't do any good anyway.

Your contribution to this thread is zero. Your best debating strategy is to act like a troll and then label anyone else as saying they think they are smarter than you. I clearly said previously in the thread that philosophizing is dead. And it is. Trolls like you prove it and the current world is swarming of people like you. Any debate must be seen as extremes and absolutes. The very thing the left is doing to kill any discussion.

The current climate of divisiveness must be like heaven to you. So much opportunity to throw your slurs around anonymously. You have your absolute intolerant opinion and anything in opposition must not be tolerated.

We know those in charge and the left are hypocrites. We know it is going to reach an "The emperor is wearing no clothes" moment. Lots of people on the right are taking glee out of the fact it is going to happen so they can say I told you so. There are so many facebook groups that are like this that I have rather gotten tired of those posts. They act like they are warning the world, acting like news agency, but they end up just spreading anxiety amongst themselves. Some people on the left very badly want it to happen so they can blame it as a historic consequence of the right. Those in government want to loot as much so they have a nest egg outside the country when it happens, making them the ultimate hypocrites.

We as ordinary South Africans can examine it from different angles and perspectives. The whole thing is manifesting in very different way in SA. Looking at it from different perspectives might help me accepting it happens and plan around it. I do this out of necessity as SA is going to be badly hit. I am not looking forward to strike season.

The current lockdown rules have created this depressive type atmosphere. Trying to rationalize makes it easier to accept. My view the better you understand how something will manifest better you can plan around it.

The statement you find so egregious. I state philosophy is dead. Me saying it is a play on the words of one of the most famous philosophers Nietzsche who famously said God is dead. With that he expressed his idea that the Enlightenment had eliminated the possibility of the existence of God. Philosophy allows you to ask questions and state theories like that without being attacked. it encourages debate. With me saying philosophy is dead, is me saying the age we are living in is so divisive, that having philosophical thought is seen as divisive politics, anything but philosophy. If you express any philosophical thoughts or question things, you egregiously upset someone, are labelled and called slurs. Discussing philosophy or asking questions will be seen as you have an agenda. You will get attacked. I am saying it is impossible to raise philosophical questions or debates in the current world we are living in because of this.

Ironically you then attack that statement "Philosophy is dead". You repeat the same stupid insults to my statement of philosophy being dead around 5 times in the same post. Are you unable to realize you just proven my statement with your insults?
