I hope they get it. Just a pity the prices...

By prices I assume you are referring to cost to use the service?
Frankly, I find it cheap. You can't drive into Sandton from anything north of the Midrand station for less than the ticket price. Nevermind the consistency of not having to deal with traffic.

Agreed 100%! I gladly pay the money to be stress free and be able to plan my travelling times around the Gautrain's time. Very glad to see they are finally expanding as, apart from a couple of strikes and delays every once in a while, the Gautrain has been world class thus far.

The Lanseria airport link would be great. I would say that link should get priority.

I used the train from the airport to Hatfield last week. A pleasure compared to sitting in traffic.

I'm just saying that it'll always be there for the wealthy. I'd really like to see a well run and maintained public transport system based on the many metros/subways/tubes that you see in the developed world in CT, JHB, PE and DBN.
Fewer cars on the road and fewer taxis.

Sure, it's supposed to be metrorail. But it's **** for a reason.

I am guessing we will only see the next link 15 to 20 years from now, if the country does not implode.
