These are the new Top Gear presenters

They should have ditched the Stig IMO, it was a running joke of the last team.

They should have ditched the show altogether IMO, even a newly branded car show would have better odds than taking Clarkson's baby and attempting to inject life into it without him.

and I hate Clarkson and genuinely like both Sabine Schmitz and Chris Harris, but the next season is likely to be the last
 
Is Sabine the Nuremburg expert?

If so, she was cool on the Top Gear episodes she was on in the past.

Other than her and Matt LeBlanc, I know none of the others.

A lot of people seem to be put off by having LeBlanc on, but he's so completely not someone I was expecting, I'll actually give it a look for a few episodes just for that. As long as he isn't always stuck in second gear.

The ego's of Jordan, Harris and Evans are going to clash badly.
Jordan, because he is ex F1 and thinks he is the best driver, and I personally think is a bit of an arsehole.
Harris, because he is actually a decent car-reviewer and I suspect he is going to get irritated quickly.
Evans, because he is the BBC's wunderkind for the show. Top Gear is "MY SHOW NOW" mentality.

I am not sure what the deal with LeBlanc is? I suspect that because of his BBC sitcom he somehow got to be involved with the current lineup.

Schmitz is alright but I suspect she would not be able to keep holding her own in this crowd. She is either very shouty or geeklily quiet. She is going to get pissed off with Jordan and Evans very quickly.

This is the first time I've heard of Rory Reid, TBH.

Sabine and LeBlanc could work, but why in the name of all that's Holy, did they choose Eddie Jordan?! :confused:

Eddie Jordan is a cock of note and shouldn't be on TV at all. Only reason he is there is because the BBC lost all broadcasting rights to F1. The guy fudged up one of the best 'midfield teams' in recent F1 history and is still held in high regard... :sick:

Chris Evans is a class A twit with a huge car collection. Whoop. He's as exciting as a papercut.

The other guys... meh.

Lastly the Stig. He (or she?) could work if they make a joke of him staying and then treat him as matter-of-fact.
The first time they say: "And now to our tame racing driver...." the show dies.

Bet it will be Eddie dropping the ball there... ;)

(PS. Just to point out that I am a huge F1 fan and enjoyed the rise of Heinz Harold Frentzen with Jordan... long story, but Eddie deserves to be dipped in oil and thrown into a pit of flames...)

Some say he stuck with his friends and moved on, others say he was the one who punched his producer, all we know is he is called the Stig.

Yeah, Eddie Jordan is a bit of an ass, that's for sure.
As for the rest - I like Sabine, but seriously, just too many people. And most of them don't seem to know much about cars.

Agree with a previous poster - they would've been better off launching a show with a different name. At least then there would be fewer comparisons.
 
LeBlanc is there to hopefully reach out the American audience.
He is quite a petrol head and not a bad driver - in season 18 he set fastest time and beat Atkinson's record for the guest in reasonably priced car. IIRC
