The government signed two key pieces of legislation into law in 2021 which will have an impact on social media posts and sharing messages in South Africa, says social media lawyer Emma Sadleir.

Yes, South Africa is a communist regime. The evidence is in its Constitution, in its laws, in its courts in the way the country is run. This is not even doubted.

Government already have access to everything related to FB, Whatsapp and Instagram. They even have a dedicated web-based platform where they can log in, upload a court order and they get whatever they want within seconds. This will apply to anything - a complaining recipient or even government snooping around in your accounts.
