That's throwing the baby out with the bath water. There is a lot of legit trade on the go and the industry has stated that one of the biggest shortcomings is enforcement which allows illegal traders to mix in stolen **** with legit metal.
There isn't even bath water left any more.

We're beyond that. Ban ALL copper trade...very simple.

“The convicts remained in custody since their arrest and appeared 47 times in court before they were sentenced.”
Something needs to be done to prevent Zuma delaying tactics from being used to pervert the (mythical) "course of justice".

Masilela and Munyathi were sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, while Gumba was sentenced to 15 years.
Presumably that means they will be out stealing more cables in 6 months from now.

I'm not sure about the electric chair idea for prisoners, maybe daily electro-shock therapy (electroconvulsive therapy) without the anaesthetic and without the mouth guard would be better, and they can shake things up with randomly applying the electrodes to different body parts each day.
