People insisting on using express queues with lots of shopping, despite clear signage. Today was the second time in a month that I addressed someone who ignored the sign and the teller's request to use the normal queues.

+1
I questioned this lack of enforcement up with PnP management. At the nearby PnP the managers sit in a raised box directly above the so called EXPRESS cashier.

Plus
Supermarkets allowing all sorts of other transactions ... paying bills, buying electricity... at the EXPRESS cashier. And not having designated cashiers who only process payments of stuff bought in the supermarket.

I read somewhere that a study shows you are better odds of getting out sooner if you queue behind one person with a full trolley than a bunch of people with baskets as the payments slow the queue down. And the more transactions, the more the chance of someone ahead of you struggling with their electricity meter number, tv license payment, airtime purchase, sending cash to Jimmy in PE, drawing R20, paying a traffic fine, paying DSTV, updating his/her online dating profile and god knows what else you can do at the till.

Domestic has been sick for a couple of weeks. She only come in 4 hours a week because she works half day somewhere else.

Another lady was suggested until the domestic gets better, which I phoned and asked to come in today. I'll pay her the same as domestic. This morning she didn't arrive, I phone and ask why. She says she won't work for that amount and she doesn't work per hour I must pay her this X amount and then she leaves when she is done. Why doesn't she freakn' tell me that she is not happy and what all her terms and conditions are? Would have paid her more than what she actually wanted if that was the case. Argh!!!

Anyways found these guys, https://rentamaid.co.za/. Will give them a call in the week.

I'm referring to SA expats outside of SA posting **** on MyBB.

I don't see you spreading BS about France on MyBB.

Then I agree, they irritate me too.

I do bash on France with French. To other people, France is the 8th wonder of the world.

I swap your flu with my shingles AND having to work all week end any time!

My commiserations. The flu sounds like a walk in the park in comparison.

I guess I am more miffed than usual because I very rarely fall ill. I had to go on antibiotics during the first week of July for an infection and I think my natural immune system hasn't fully recovered. The flatmate had a lady friend over who I could hear had the sniffles and was sneezing quite a bit...the very next day, I had the same affliction :(

Shingles is like torture not cool :( try Stinging Nettle tea (easy to drink) for prevention and all round nourishment and you can use it as on the affected area to sooth and heal.
