I signed it when they did not use crap like McAfee. The thing is, don't tell someone that develops solutions for a living what they can and cannot do. They will simply develop a solution around it.

I'm pretty sure that it would have stated "anti-virus software" not McAfee.

If you were one of my users i would have simply locked you out of the domain until such time as our software was installed on the company machine. It's people like you that think they're above the rules that are the cause of malware, rootkits, etc getting on the network.

Here if your machine is not compliant with ALL policies (av, patching, DLP), the switches will firewall you off from everything except the SCCM servers until you're compliant again. NOTHING works.

I have never had any malware on any of my machines cause I'm not a dumbass. If I were I would not be a software developer but instead working in IT support or hosting and flops.

I also have more than enough production environments I work for that any break in access to them far surpasses GPOs.

Windows NT4/Server. Windows 2000/Server. Windows Server2003+XP. Windows Server2008.

All of these can go for months without a reboot.

Server2016? Non. Every 30 days a reboot. Meh.

Months is pushing it a bit, maybe month, perhaps weeks? Now my Redhat boxes, those are months, stretching into years, where a reboot is more frightening that the hardware won't come back up.

The number of people on their phones while driving.

It already annoys me if they're stopped at a traffic light and don't pull off when they're supposed to, but it irritates the living bejezus out of me when they're on their phones whilst the car is in motion.

I feel like saying that for R250 I'll teach them to connect their phone to their car via bluetooth cos clearly they're too dumb to do it themselves

when the state of the economy is a 'shock' in articles..

**** off already. the slide has been happening but you chose to write about malema and rama rama. the figures don't lie...

when the government must go hat in hand looking for 2b to keep SAA temporarily afloat then there shouldn't be any doubt in your mind as to the astronomical ****up that has happened...

like someone aptly said 'steal the profit, not the ****ing operating expenses'...

Reason for being sold: Unwanted Upgrade.
How in this day and age is it an unwanted upgrade? It's not like you've got plenty of ways to choose what you want.
