To disable automatic updates on Windows 10 permanently, use these steps:
- Open Start.
- Search for gpedit.msc and click the top result to launch the Local Group Policy Editor.
- Navigate to the following path:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update- Double-click the Configure Automatic Updates policy on the right side.

Because often "alternative viewpoint" is a euphemism for lie or fallacy. A bit like "Alternative facts"Carrying on from my last comment, YouTube banning videos that have alternative viewpoints. Are we meant to be sheep and how do we grow intellectually without looking at said videos?
They're not presented as fiction but as "alternative truths".That is the whole point - to decide for ourselves whether its a load of crock. Imagine for instance having no fiction, but the bible to read.

Thus widespread broadcasting of fallacies is dangerous. It was fine when it was your average lunatic shouting his nonsense at speaker's corner, but grant him a worldwide audience and echo chamber and suddenly it's not a laughing matter any more.We grow intellectually by debates and seeing all view points.

There's a balance to be found, I'm sure - but this is a brave new world where previous self-regulating boundaries no longer exist...
