Been having so much shite with my bike lately, haven't been able to commute with it for 3 weeks

Apart from the normal staling & surging issues I've had to deal with I've found massive plug blowby that ate into the landing and caused low compression, once I finally solved that temporarily the increase in power was a lot which very quickly caused the slow oil leak to intensify, striped the stator cover and re sealed at least 4 times before it sealed and didn't cease the starter gearing,

theeeeeen one day on the way home it Literally Filled the airbox with oil from the sump vent, filled it, it was coming out of the snorkel on the top of the airbox, somehow it still had oil pressure until home.

Still dealing with that issue, its intermittent, last/ biggest culprit is Counter Balance shaft seal failure, which should be fun to mend.

Our new uncouth neighbours, who we luckily only have to deal with for another month or so...

New Neighbour One: All indications are that he is a complete and utter douchebag and I generally don't judge a book by it's cover but he looks like a typical Fourways douche bag, apologies to Fourways. He makes a bit of noise which is largely OK, we live in a tightly packed neighbourhood but the screaming matches he his with his SO where she tells him to stop acting like a child at 02:00 in the morning are more than a little annoying. Then he keeps two, large, what look to be St. Bernards are kept in a 500 sqm property which explaisn why the yare so aggressive toward other animals, having had a go at one neighbours Ridgeback, apparently attacked another local residents Cocker Spaniel, chased the local feral cats and reportedly had a go at one domestic. With the owner claiming his dog was provoked while acting aggressively to anyone who calls him out on his BS, arg.

New Neighbours Two: Apparently Swiss gent and his local SO, who we don't see much of other than the SO's relative's who live with them, who decided that they would bring back the party they were having in the early hours of Sunday morning to outside their house. Other neighbours reported the brother I believe, driving like a complete tonsil down the 'high' street in the area, excessive speed, ignoring Stop signs and traffic circles, etc. before arriving our side their house which is opposite ours and attempting a pathetic excuse of a hand brake turn at 06:20. Another resident arrived, with similar skill and pulling in to the driveway hit their garage door, where after resident one decided to try their hand at wheel spins after their abysmal attempt at a hand brake turn. There was another attempt at a hand brake turn somewhere along the line before all occupants alighted from the two vehicles at the top of their voices with alcohol in hand before neighbour with the Ridgeback who had a run in with New Neighbour One came out to tell them to STFU. Much enthusiastic debating ensued along with a smashed Heineken bottle in a driveway and one gent relieving himself in the street before local security arrived to calm matters down.

I hate humans

Got another block on Twitter, apparently greenies don't like being told that their solution is intermittent, they then clap back with, it's not intermittent it has other generators on the grid... Yeah that doesn't help your argument greenie

Funny, BMW's supposed to be qualitay... thought it was a cheap chinese knockoff...

Good luck with finding and fixing the issue!
Hm hmm, engine is not BMW, its a Rotax Unit, they are solid reliable units all things considered.

The engine ECU that BMW supplied however is extremely lacking and riddled with faults and bad mapping, simple things like if the throttle is applied during cranking, the idle control goes mental, they added a calibration reset function rather than fixing the issue etc etc

Think they were taken to the dragged to court for it resulting in the twin spark successor.

Will an aftermarket ECU like Spitronics help?

Deciding I need dinner this time of the evening, want nothing in my house so I'll just pop out to the local BP for a pie or something

They nearby ones are technically open, just that the doors don't, open. So I have to go 7km+ to the Brackenhurst one, everyone else always realizes the same so there will be an uncomfortable amount of humans in there, half of whom think 20mm is an acceptable following distance in the queue.

The effects of lockdowns on the world, chip shortages, steel shortages and and. Things that in 2019 would've come in 8 weeks are possibly coming in 8 months :-(
It sucks, especially if you need to do some maintenance and/or upgrades...
