That must have been frustrating. They wasted your time and the candidates.:(
There is definitely a miscommunication between software dev/tech/engineering and HR department in most companies.
How do they expect to fill positions for scarce skills and still want to pinch pennies?
Yup there is that, I feel for him as the one was really promising and as I said so close to christmas.
Sorry you're having issues with pay, that also really sucks

No, I'm getting low-balled at work. The feckers are saying it's "market related" and "competitive". I know for a fact they are horseshitting. It sucks because I like the product I work on and would rather not leave:(
If you "know" it's low, provide them with proof (e.g. job spec with salary ranges).

Aramex. Jeez they are bad. Can't give an ETA but says it will be delivered today so stay whole day at home waiting. Guess what. No delivery.
90% of couriers. Then they give you attitude if you went out for 10min and that is the random time they decided to come. Idiots.

Would be nice if they at least say before or after 12...
They pathetic to be honest. So I don't care anymore. If they can't give a time. I go on with my day and when they phone I tell them to wait. Maybe one day their companies will wake up.

I feel like I'm repeating my irritations/ punch lines but...
Places that don't have price tags.
Me looking to spend R100: Excuse me, how much is this?
Shop keeper: R50 000
Me, pretending like I knew it would be that and trying to look like I'm considering it: R50 000, yes, yes, ok, very good, I'm just going to go draw some cash, I'll be right back.

I know I know, if you have to ask and all that. But still.

Dude, I hate when people say they are going to come back to purchase something and they don't. Tell them no straight away.

When people take what you are saying and twist it, **** on it and throw it back in your face. You are left thinking, "did I not articulate well enough?"

Seeing a group of people purportedly sitting together but all bent over their phones like zombies. Not sure they see how bad it looks. Gotta admit I'm often guilty of this but seeing it from outside has made me not want to do it again.
