Thanks, third dog this year :-( first one was my MIL we took in when she passed, the second was my old man who fell into the pool :-( not even sure how as the backyard isn't even normally opened for them to get there and now our Boston, she's blind, deaf and got a massive growth on her side and she's moaning a lot now :-(
Better to take her in, sooner rather than later.

Lack of commitment from coworkers

This error in one of our system logs:
[1484827.625687] Out of memory: Kill process 3134 (java) score 447 or sacrifice child

Did the standby guy sacrifice his child?! NO! He just let the process die....

/shakes head

Definitely. While the VPN is connected you certainly don't want to allow connection to other devices. Would bypass any form of data loss protection etc.

With that in consideration - I can point out multiple ways in which they don't take security and access to things (data in particular) seriously enough, so I find it even more laughable

Have the same issue here. People be NAAFI when it comes to loadshedding, they just Do.Not.Care.

Then generators run dry, UPSes goes phut and it's chaos.

Why do people review the shipping rather than the product? Trying to buy something and reviews:
"This package arrived in 3 days, it looks good, I haven't tested it yet" How is this helpful? :cautious:

Because TAL (I assume you're referring to TAL) offers a chance for a prize if you review, so I'm guessing people just post kuk reviews for the sake of it

The 'please review your purchase' email irritates me. I mean, I get it, I also like reading reviews so maybe it's a silly thing to be irritated by. But I just paid you money for something, stop asking me for favours.

The vet is going to come put her down at home today, that way she's with family and friends. It's heart breaking.

Very sad Lupus, but it had to be done for the doggie's sake.

Thanks, he came at 4.30, the whole family was around her, my wife held her until she went. She was 12, beat the vets original assessment by 2 years. Though it just feels weird, I lost my old dog 2 months ago, had a heart attack and fell into the pool :( vet says he was dead before so didn't drown.
Now the house doesn't have any of the fur babies that have been with us throughout the last decade.

It's the best when you hold them until the injection, a comfort for your wife and the dog.

Shattering when they die one after the other like that :crying:

People that come over for a braai or function, and leave with lunch tins full of food, as though they are preparing for an apocalypse or haven't eaten in weeks..

I first experienced this in primary school, during class parties, cake, niknaks, marshmallows, all smashed into lunch tins. When I see it these days, I get flash backs

Not something I witness often, but the converse is highly irritating to me: was at a braai a few weeks ago and the second everyone had a plate of food, the dude’s wife started scuttling the meat away to the kitchen. Way to make your guests feel unwelcome…
