Also youtubers making funny faces to supposedly draw attention. Examples:
Probably also to differentiate the thumbnails a bit. If they're smiling the same in every single one it'll probably look a bit wierd seeing the same face a bunch of times. Also gives a bit of a clue as to the tone of the person. I'm not denying your right to be irritated tho.

Annoys me that I'm feeling guilty about poverty around me and then the CEO of Mr Price gets a R33mil bonus.

At the school rugby on Saturday there was a woman roaming the crowd. I noticed that she wasn't watching the game at all, but rather handbags and phones. Resolved myself to keep an eye on her, but never caught her in the act. Towards the end of the game a young kid comes over with a security guard and she dives behind some people to hide. I go over to the guard and tell him I suspect that she is the person he is looking for and point her out.

He leaves to get back up and she runs to the ladies, comes out with her jacket over her head, making her way to the gate. I finished watching the game and go to the security office after to find out what happened. She was apprehended, but turns out she had an accomplice hiding in one of the bathroom stalls to whom she handed off all her loot. Unfortunately, the accomplice was not apprehended, resulting in very little proof of crime. Know of at least 1 wallet and 2 phones that went missing.

Kinda feel bad that I didn't alert the security when I noticed her initially, but didn't want to accuse someone without some certainty and also didn't want to be accused of racial prejudice.

I am certainly noticing an uptick in crimes around us, ranging from this kind of petty stuff all the way up to increased hijacking and car robberies. Is this partially fuelled by the lockdowns and related loss of income?

I've noticed my local Spar has over the last year or so employed several people that stand around watching the shoppers, assume for theft prevention.
There are around 5 of them milling about giving you weird looks.

I have a problem with them going back to when I was a teenager. They once accused me of taking a CD as they saw me pick one up and then never saw us paying for one. Meanwhile I had put it back on the shelf as my mom did not allow me to get it. My mom told the guy to go jump

Ordered from Mr D, noticed almost immediately after placing the order my location was used as delivery address instead of my house.

Phone restaurant, ahh we closed for deliveries, sweet problem sorted.

50min later confused Indian bloke rings, where you be? Gave him the correct address.

5 min later a vrot Opel Astra rocks up with my (luckily) still hot and fresh bunny chow.

Checkers 60/60 drivers that does not have data so you can track them via the app to see exactly how far they are from you place.
