Woolies now charging R100 for a cooked Chicken.
WTF!
What's the weight of that chicken? I mean decent (as in not brined, frozen and shipped from Brazil) is well over R50/kg. Plus time and electricity and some sort of seasoning, it's gotta be more expensive to cook one at home, right?

No I pay R49.99 per kg. Pop it in the airfryer for 30 minutes and bob's your uncle.

I saw a vid/comment about this. First off they don't use the freshest chickens to go into their machines, then they have to be of a near fixed size (you want them to be able to fit in the machine and cook at the same rate as all the other chickens).

After that, in the US at least, they use cooked in store chickens as loss leaders to get people in store and buying, so often there they are cheaper than the sum of you buying it, spicing/cooking it yourself. But that's definitely not the case here.

Having to submit "recently" SAPS certified copies of qualifications, ID's etc. to job and study applications.
For sure the entities also state that all qualifications will be verified, and there is a fraud warning. Why then do I need to go through the frustrating process of queuing at the local SAPS just to get the papers chubbed, by a Warrant Officer that doesn't give a toss about whether or not the docs are real in the first case, and just chubs and signs the stuff.

Any courier who pitches up unannounced at my house while I'm not there.

Ugh, come on, why can Checkers Sixty60 give me a slot when I want to deliver yet Takealot / RAM couriers can't?

Well at least Takealot lets you choose the delivery date so you can pick a day you know you'll be at home.
