Thinking of signing up at Telkom Mobile

Would anyone here happen to live somewhere in the Durbanville area outside Cape Town? If so, and you're on the Telkom Mobile network, specifically using 3G, what is it like? Any good in your area? I have 3G coverage here now whereas I didn't years ago, so I'm thinking of jumping from Cell C.

Also, I wanted to know if it is possible to use a Telkom Mobile sim with a ZTE MF668 modem (got it from Cell C)?

Even though you get more off-peak data with the Giga 200 deal for the same price, I really just want to leave Cell C now after the rubbish I've had to put up with them for some time now. For several months last year I couldn't even go online until 7 or 8 PM, because it just crawled along like a snail! Complaints just went ignored. It's fine for the moment, but I don't see it lasting for very long.

That and I don't have to RICA a new SIM card if I want to top up...

Rather test the speeds and compatibility yourself using a prepaid telkom mobile sim... each location is unique from a coverage point of view.

Depending where you are in Durbanville, you are in for a LTE treat as well.

Friend of mine got the Telkom Mobile LTE router, and getting 36Mbps download speeds.

I am extremely happy with my TM subscription, never had it this good. :)

I bought a sim plus the 2+1 GB deal to test it out, and I have to say I'm impressed so far. I tested it with speedtest and the download speed is at least 5 or 6 times faster than Cell C (during off-peak hours!). I'll test TM during off-peak hours as well to see what it's like then.
