We looked at over 50 fizzy drinks that are available in South Africa and compared their sugar contents.

I think that they cut the sugar content to avoid the tax. I had a creme soda after the tax was introduced and it tasted very different to before the tax.

That would make sense as I couldn't understand how they keep their prices so low in comparison to coke. I'll get some on the next shopping trip and see how it tastes.

I'm willing to pay extra for a cool drink that's all sugar and no artificial sweetener when I'm in the mood for sugar.

For now I'm content with having my Pepsi Max, tastes better than those awful artificial sweetener and sugar mix cool drinks

We as a family used to maybe buy the odd 2l coke a month to share. Was a treat now we don’t even bother it tastes so bad.

How much coke do some people drink for health tax to be a thing. Give me original coke, I’ll pay for the extra sugar thank you.

Afaik you cannot get coke without artificial sweeteners in any size.

They slowly circumventing the tax whilst reducing the ml content.

I do like me some dry lemon but I don't think I've had any of the others for a while, I don't like the taste of aspartame so we shall see if I can pick it up.
