This is how much you will pay to return items to online stores in SA

Takealot ftw! Took a faulty item to their pickup point on a Saturday and by Tuesday they had the replacement ready.

Spot on. In all my dealings with Takealot, not one single customer service issue. Returns are collected the next day and the refund is done within 24 hours of that.

I wanted to buy something from Raru on the 8th of July to which they replied that it was in fact not in stock and only today is my refund being done.

ai ja nê. it grates my cheese that the customer support agent cannot take initiative and realise that an item of 62 rand does not fit in with their returns policy and take the case to a manager in the first place.

its almost as if theres an initial attitide of, oh well its your tough luck then, instead of, let me help you get your problem sorted out.

what happens to opened/unsealed products when they have been returned..?

Anyone mention Evetech? Ugh, what a pathetic bunch. They are told to be as unhelpful as possible

Still have a damaged case here for over a year. Several promises to rectify broken

That is bad. I still have goods pending with them. I believe I am in the 4th week now.

There is a company I am dealing with now which is ignoring my queries, and they have my money.

Bought an 82" LG TV from Takealot. Arrived with screen cracked in multiple places. Logged a complaint / faulty item on their website. Had a new TV 2 days later, and they picked up the broken one at the same time. I've always had excellent service from Takealot.

I love takealot for the returns policy, but I don't like the fact that they then resell these items as new. I just received a product today that had no plastic on the display, the display was scratched, and the housing is damaged. I went to place another order with the intention of returning the damaged product and it says the shipping time is 5-7 days. Funnily enough the damaged item was 'in stock' when I purchased - obviously because it was a return!

We recently placed an order with Raru, which included a 3.5mm audio splitter cable. The intended use of the cable was to connect a headset with separate headphone and microphone jacks to a device that has a combined 3.5mm port.
Bit of a comprehension problem there. This is your standard source multiplier and not even a true splitter cable. What you were looking for is in fact a combiner and the two rings instead of three should have given it away as well.

Most gets resold. That's why they ask you to include all the original packaging. Only sealed stuff is a problem.

So, @Jan, when will you start warning your readers that doing business with Loot means supporting Iqbal Surve? I have not seen them advertise with you, so what's stopping you?

Rise up, retaliate with a reckoning?
