This is how Vodacom makes and spends its money

Vodacom makes most of its revenue and profit from prepaid and contract services, with financial services and equipment contributing significantly to its top line.

Vodacom, majority owned by Vodafone with a 60.5% stake, is one of Africa’s largest telecommunications providers.

Vodacom don't make your data disappear
They said so
The R600 data bundle that disappeared in 5 mins after loading it was my fault (apparently)
Say anything to get you off the phone

We hope They'll do right by paying the #PleaseCallMe inventor. He's the reason prepaid customers are no longer grey listed and numbers are active on the network

How they make it?
1. Stealing people's airtime and data
2. Bending 3GPP specifications to make more money (a dropped call is a beautiful tool)
3. Complex contracts and bazillion types of prepaid
4. Expiring your data/airtime

How they spend it?
1. Dodging tax...
2. New Mercs, BMWs, Tuscan villas and more for the CEO and chums
3. Sending lots of it offshore to dodge Edward Kieswetter

An important source of revenue is to CUT OFF SERVICE but still debiting your account - they employ 2 bit lawyers to harass you endlessly - if one does not succeed, they employ the next one - VODACOM is the most disgusting company I ever did business with .....
