The average worker is paid R21,966 per month – up from the R21,414 recorded at the end of Q2, and up from R20,433 recorded in the same period in 2018.
Seems a bit high though.

Guess the Tenderpreneurs drive up the average.

It is high because the brainiacs at Stats SA don't understand that using a descriptive statistic like the mean is meaningless (heh) for exponentially distributed data.

Average household size in SA is about 3.3 (so I will round up to 4)
