Twitter has almost never been profitable, so whatever they are doing isn't working.

Going the paid user route and making Twitter the funnest place to have public conversations is how he can turn it into a goldmine. With the way that Youtube has been behaving recently as well, Musk could likely snap up Odysee for pennies and integrate long form video content into Twitter. Boom, he has just combined two relatively small things that can take on Youtube.

To make it a fun place they will need to do the following:
* Revoke access to upvote farms operating out of Bangladesh
* Get rid of the furries, and their hangers-on, aka SJWs and snowflakes
* Get rid of the fake celebs aka Kardashian wannabees seeking constant attention like a dog in heat.
* Get rid of the automated trolls

In CZ's view, their equity interest is to push web 3.0 and the blockchain, but Twitter has long pushed crypto. It is crypto which pushed Twitter Blue, to appease the cryptobros. Musk wasn't even in the picture when Twitter started to embrace NFTs. As I said many times, nothing is stopping Web 3.0, NFTs and the crypto-related metaverse.

Ignoring this, CZ and his team have built a crypto business which disrupted the crypto space, and that expertise and business acumen can be leveraged to also disrupt the social media space.

So much for elon's claim of wanting to promote free speech, if it's going to cost $8/m. He's already said subscribers will have their tweets promoted, meaning the unverified users will be drowned out. He's probably counting on the right wing nazis to all jump at the chance of subscribing so that their drivel gets promoted and drowns out all other conversations.
