Finance minister Pravin Gordhan may be charged as early as next week, along with three former SA Revenue Service (Sars) officials, according to a report in the City Press.

I don't believe that this is because Gordhan has dirt on Zuma. There is nothing stopping him from still releasing that info.
This is about moving him permanently out of the way so that the treasury can be plundered.

Not sure how they are going to charge him over things over which they have no jurisdiction. They might end up with a cost order against their officials aka SABC.

They probably just need to charge and keep him hamstrung giving Zuma a pretext to replace him. He'll just explain Pravin can't work while fighting charges. Only possible way around this is taking them direct to the concourt to stop them delaying with endless appeals
