Giving people tiny rewards can motivate them to put more effort into their work, a new study has found.

It's what motivated a few students in a study.
How do these businesstech articles fail so hard at grokking the gist of what they're reporting?

If my job doesn't satisfy me creatively & doesn't afford me a certain level of autonomy there's no amount of silly rewards that's gonna make me work harder. I'd be too busy looking for another job to be chasing carrots.

Given the our economy the last couple of years, I reckon they underestimate the impact money has on people. May they choose to ignore/acknowledge it because the truth will cost them their money.

Not that it is the most important. Comraderie, making an impact, the desire to do well - those are all factors.

Inflation is obviously not a problem in the country where the survey was conducted.
