This morning i saw something beautiful.

Waiting in the cue to go right into jacqueline street just before it crosses with atterbury, a taxi decided wtf i don't want to wait and went into the lane of the oncoming traffic and proceeding to turn right into jacqueline street but to his surprise a traffic cop was just waiting for him on the island around the bend.

i thought, wow now that is good one for metro and i wish they would do it more often.

I see Taxi's getting pulled over every morning, I totally love it... I just hope they get pulled over and have to pay fines etc.

Driving aloing the N1 every day teaches one some strange things. Just by watching the behaviour of the taxis, one can predict whether metro cops are pulling the taxis off at any of the Sandton off-ramps. So as soon as you notice 3 or 4 mini-buses clinging to the fast lane, it's safe to assume that the metro guys are waiting ahead (which is usually when one cane slip into the left lane and cruise along at 100km/h for a bit)

Used to love it in the morning when the cops pulled the taxis off for driving in the emergency lane. The kept them there for a really long time taking their time writing out the fines or just ignoring them. Time is money and this seriously pissed these okes off. The law abiding motorist would pass and give them the thumbs up with a smile.

Has anyone seen the new "Ghost Squad" in Cape Town?
They drive inconspicuous White Golf V GTI's with CCT number plates.
I see them every morning just pulling over Taxi drivers on my way to work

Remember about 3 years ago the taxis actually went on strike coz they were "tired of being pulled over" by Metro cops.

Wish it would be a permanent situation.
