Economist Mike Schussler has published a new graph showing the number of South Africans that are emigrating to New Zealand.

According to Schussler, the number of South Africans migrating to New Zealand increased fivefold from January 2014 to January 2019.

He added that the people leaving are typically skilled or have enough money to start a business – which means that South Africa loses out on valuable resources.

Peaking at 1,085 South Africans leaving in January 2019, the graph shows that around 868 people left for New Zealand in August.

That much about trusting the Condom Tester to fix South Africa.
Nevermind New Zealand. There are almost 200.000 South Africans living in Australia??? How many whites are left in South Africa?

Unmistakeably your post.

Anyways, next time you're home on another 6 weeks leave, just take a stroll around your neighbourhood.

I would like your post to be less about me and more about the thread title. Constantly trolling me will eventually get you points
What are your thoughts on people leaving South Africa under Ramaphosa? Are they mistaken? Milk and honey is returning to South Africa?

This is not scary. It is for those who never thought this would happen and those who do not understand how an economy works. This was expected and predicted all along. You can see the consequences in the private sector. You can see the consequences in declining tax revenue. You can see the consequences in governments' ability to render services. South Africa has crossed the threshold of no return. It is game over for the country. It has fallen already, but the effects will only be felt in about 25 years from now.

1 thousand a month is nothing. Remember, SA population is around 58 million.

Yeah. This is just NZ. Not including Europe/americas or that stupid country located close to NZ.

And also, what's it doing to the job market on the receiving end? I mean NZ only has a population of 5mil. So this influx of saffers must be pushing their wages down a bit.

Source for your statistics please? I quickly counted in my office and I came up to only 5.

See how quickly emigration happens 5 already in New Zealand and 2 in Australia but that's ok those two are racist anyway.

Probably pushing the wages up. Jobs tend to go where there is supply of highly skilled workers, and leave areas where there aren’t.

So, no, I don't mind accumulating the "points". Keep them coming.

About the last bit, people leaving have valid reasons. They don't need to justify it in any way to an outsider like me so, even though I feel the country is losing in terms of skill, I can't fault their decision, can I?

Btw, from my perspective, SA was never a land of milk and honey as you put it.

But 80% of taxes are paid by only 1.7 million. The people leaving are mostly on the high end of tax payers. Furthermore, the resulting undersupply of talent is a depressant for business.

3 percent unemployment and a massive skills shortage. Also there's a general shortage of middle aged people.

True that. It's very attractive to go there. Though I think not as easy as people make it out to be. Even if skilled.

I think around 5% of NZ population is Saffers.
