CWU general secretary Aubrey Tshabalala said unless the SABC board and management abandon its retrenchment plans, the broadcaster will face a blackout on Friday.
Does the CWU not realise that it is using racist colonial terminology?

Expect the EFF to be there to chase the CWU members back in to the SABC (as opposed to out of), free red berets compulsory for all CWU members that return to work.

I think they still had Emmanuelle 2000 on back then ;)
I wonder where that new reporter is, the one that ended every interview off with a funny tone.

Ghasant Habardi, E-News (very high pitch), Cape Tooowwn (Low pitch).

I forgot his name, but it was something like the above.

First time I'd tune into SABC to watch anything is if it goes out...

Hahaha - so quickly they forgot how the post office strike largely cemented the post office's irrelevance in the modern South African economy. Please, go ahead and do the same to put the SABC and the South African public out of its collective misery as well.

The SABC recently announced it will cut up to 400 jobs after exhausting all other options to ensure the sustainability of the business.

On a more serious note, can we please stop referring to the SABC as a "business"? It is not a "business". It is a State-Owned Enterprise. A business is a profit-generating concern. The SABC is at best supposed to be not-for-loss, and at worst not-for-profit, and hence, not a "business".
