I would like to be able to connect my Dell Precision 5510 with Thunderbolt 3 to a Hisense 43A7100F and get 4K @ 60Hz

Exactly what adapter or cable would I need to achieve this?

Thanks

The one with the Skylake CPU?
I've tried mine with 2 Dell docks, neither of them can do 60Hz with that laptop, even though I think the dock could with a newer latitude.

I don't think that specific precision can do 4K60.

You could try connecting wirelessly?

been doing a little more research and it seems that it is definitely possible to drive 4k @ 60Hz with this machine, but only via the TB3 port ( HDMI is 1.x only - 4K @ 30hz)

this document list specs seems to then say that the wd19tb dock should work - https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/dell-wd19tb-dock_users-guide3_en-us.pdf

Any Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI or USB 3.1 to HDMI will work, as long as it supports HDMI 2.0.

I have this one, and it's also supposed to support 4k60:

I only tested it quickly with a 4K monitor at the office, and can't even remember which port I used. I'll test again tomorrow morning if I have time.

My TB16 dock does in fact output 4K60 over DP. I must have done something wrong or used a crappy cable when I tested it at the office.

Remember your cable must also be HDMI 2.0
There are still some older cables out there on the market, and they wont support 4K or high frame rates
