I have just found out, to my detriment, that MTN pay as you go data bundles expire 1 month after purchase, irrespective of a credit still exists!

Isn't this illegal? Surely I should be able to use what I paid for?

Incidentally, Vodacom have the same attitiude.

It's a very sore point with everyone who buys data bundles. I'm convinced they make the size of the bundle too big or too little, forcing us either to buy another or to lose some.

This little ruse is akin to the eat-as-much-as-you-like attraction in a restaurant where you feel you are getting a bargain, but in reality most people will never eat enough to make the most of it.

At least MTN offers the small bundles, unlike Vodacom who don't really care about the people who cannot afford their offerings.

As quoted above .. duopoly.

Um, not quite... It's actually 30 days, not one month, they just couldn't resist screwing us out of that extra day for 6 months of the year.
