I'm a Windows phone fan in an iPhone/Android world. Why? Microsoft has it going on!

So even with just 1% market share and an "Other" category ranking, I'm all-in on Windows phone. Not only because of what it is today, but also because of what I believe it will become.

With full Windows on ARM, the PC in our pockets is closer than ever. Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella's ultimate mobile device that can be a tablet, desktop PC, phone and more is coming into view as Microsoft's vision unfolds. If Microsoft pulls this off, it is going to be awesome!

A bit long-winded (like most Jason Ward editorials), but interresting nevertheless. Android/iOS fans just don't (want to) understand.

I can upgrade and I know I can get the 950 and 950XL on Vodacom online as part of my contract but what about the HP Elite X3? Is there any way of getting this phone on a contract?

What other windows phones are available locally and on a contract?

And, did you upgrade? I've been following the thread and calculated that the cost of the phone works out to R3 120 in total over the 24 month contract period, quite a bargain for a R8000 phone. I've had my 640 XL for a year now, but I realised that the upgrade path during the next year might be a bit limited, so decided to do it now.

Technically the phone was well over R11k at launch, both the 950 and 950XL, so its an even better bargain.
