Google Hubble S series ;)\

I just dropped a Sako 24V100AH on my Mecer 2400va and this last weekend was great as I did not need to watch my consumption like I use to on LA's

OK that's great to know.
So did you have to just adjust the battery type on the inverter and it takes care of the rest?

Would love to do that but my issue now is space.
Built a custom enclosure for my system but now I'm out of space in my flat.
Plus if I ever move I'd at least to take something more portable with me instead if spending all that cash on an ROI I'll probably never make back.

Similar but diff problem:

Not allowed to pop solar on my roof (Body corp rules) so I am making a custom stand for my balcony to place the solar panels.

Yeah same problem here... and I'm on the ground floor of a 3 storey to make things worse.

I was thinking of building a little roof covering thing in the corner of my garden outside, then I can use the solar panels as the roof.

I live alone and use little energy so would be able to get quite far with just a few panels, hell maybe even 3. The issue is I only recently found out that solar panels don't work of even a portion of the panel is in shade, so now things get interesting and I need to find a way to quantify that part of the garden since I might have a problem then.

My Sako's are proper LiFePO4's not LA drop in's so a tad hesitant to recommend em.

They seem to do the job as mentioned in this post. The built in BMS seems to be managing the battery and driving the Mecer instead of the Mecer driving the battery based on the Flat charge curves I am getting with zero float.

Need to run it for a while before I go "Sako = good"

Edit: I scored the battery + 2 panels for R14 000 with an option to drop another R4000 to get the Sako Inverter with built in MPPT. Only thing that has me on pause is the Sako Inverter's perm running fan.

They do, it's just that the output of the array will be reduced proportionately.

You can also mitigate this by having the panels more likely to get the most shade on one string. This won't affect panels on the other string...
