Ohhhh yes. If you feel strong about your case, log a ticket :) Simple as that
Trying to, but secure chat wasn't working properly yesterday, the call center had no idea. But it's been escalated.

Honestly, even on the 29th, was it banked still the weekend ? I doubt it (as zero processing on a weekend, so even if you swiped, it shouldnt affect you for June's spending). My view

You couldn't use your virtual card at all, when trying it failed outright. So you had to resort to a physical card. The vet isn't going to go don't worry come back on Monday, or the restaurant. If you swiped on the 29th, it counts as June.

LOL ... ohhhh no. Transaction count only when they clear (or processed). Not an a swipe of scan. They might backdate it. But honestly, rather make a case of the system being offline, and FNB would reward you R500 or R1000 in ebucks

Except that was the only time I've ever used physical cards, that day only. Suddenly my ebucks reflect that I used physical cards vs virtual? Hmmm it's obviously backdated.

Interesting, my eBucks allocation today is about half of what their website stated I earned during the month of June. Also, the calculator on their website is blank for me and I cannot see how that June earn was calculated.

Ebucks exists out of about 20 smaller product divisions, and the rule engine aint updated on a swipe, it executes once every week roughly. Its impossible to say I have now swipped and now my rules are broken. Its impossible! I know the FNB system inside out. You will see if you swipe on the 25th for an example and still qualify for ebucks smartspend, it will be updated on the 3rd or 4th. (That is when the "engine" run's again.

So in short, your swipe on the 29th (it didnt affect any points on the 29th).

Did you check on the app?

You should be able to see how it was calculated.

You can look at the app or on the ebucks dashboard (website), but the normal breakdown is pretty empty (for the new rules)

But it did effect my overall June, that is the issue, cause it counts as a physical card swipe and you need to keep it above 80% for virtual card usage.

My honest view, I do understand what you are saying. Step 1 : Look at your credit card statement for June released. Write an email to [email protected] and state that you dropped from level 5 to level 4 because of the FNB outage. On the other side, life happens and things are out of your control, and that is one of the rules, make sure you build some beef into the buffer if needed, just in case. Not saying you are wrong here.

I'm just saying, cause of their outage I did drop :-( it's frustrating, can we not vent here :p

Ofcourse you can. I spend yesterday 2 hours on secure chat, chatting to agents about FNB's tax certificates that are so wrong, SARS would laugh at me. Please vent away :)

Glitch… as in user error?

Pretty sure you started off by implying it was user error

As I stated, the spending engine aint being updated in real time. I read about the error. The long and short, if spending dropped below 80% on transactions that cleared before the 1st, then create a query.

Thanks for the help guys. You guided me in the right direction. The website total included the smart spend for the month of June that I had already received.
