For the online spend part of the virtual card, it says "qualifying" online spend, what is considered qualifying? Is it specifically only at one of the online partners they have the list of, or would something like a google purchase or so not count?
And is a single small purchase enough to then get 100% spend?

App now has annual discount savings limit on shop page. :crying: Shop + travel (Flight +Car + Bus)
Annual Cap (Sept-Sept)
Easy - R500
Aspire - R1000
Premier - R5000
PC - R10000
PW&RBM - R20000
This is the biggest watering down of the ebucks benefit in a long time.

So, me being on premier, buy one international flight for let's say R14 000 with 40% discount and you are done for discounts for the year. Or maybe buy a TV or something big on black friday and no more discounts for the rest of the year.

What also sucks is if you maybe buy flights for your fam, so wife and kids. Everyone uses the same limit regardless of the size of the household, even though the kids need FNBy and wife a linked spousal account. Only thing you can maybe do is get your wife to book some flights separately to use her limit, but that's a pain and the whole reason you could add your family to the app before booking to make it easy to book everything at once.

With this limit you basically only get one international flight at a discounted price a year, and then nothing else.

just noticed my progress has been updated - on level 5 - i see my pay bills hasn't counted and now i can't see any history of my 2x easypay's to coct actually going through. must have failed.

FNB should update "40% discount" marketing to say "capped to annual limit depending on account type (between R5k and R20k". Won't be long before someone complains to the advertising board.

Without the discount I don't see myself putting much effort into ebucks, it was the entire point, discounted flights, discounted gifts and gadgets when they go on sale, which is all gone now.

How's Discovery these days?

This really sucks if you've got a ton eBucks built up.

We had tons of time and a few decent deals to spend it on. I made sure I cleared my balance before the reset
Yeah I didn't read the rule changes thoroughly enough before they became live, so didn't notice this change. Anyway, can still squeeze out 20k eBucks per month on PC with relative ease so not all is lost. Just have to accept that's basically worth R2k now.

Ok guys, Im properly confused now. I never realised ebucks is so capped in so many different ways, is this true?? When I plug in typical spending values into the calculator at rl5, it says its capped at R2k spending at grocers (checkers) and R2k on fuel?? And it doesnt change when i put in a higher total spend either. That means a total ebucks of like R600 or so a month, how on earth are people then getting the thousands theyre claiming?

You are on premier if I can guess reading the capped values? Its all about juggling your spending. On premier is capped at R2k per (clicks, checkers and engen)

Indeed premier. Wow. Well I guess that entire exercise was pointless then. Really thought I did my homework decently, but nowhere saw these caps. Whats with all the hype then?

Just got my August account from CoCT. Both my R101 payments reflect.

Your earn potential is less on premier because of the lower caps. I used to earn around R1800 on premier, if I remember correctly.

Don't worry about those two quotes, as BBSA said, the 100% cap just means that you can earn your bank fees back if you meet their investment goal, which is quite difficult to do and probably not the best use of that money.
See when I started asking on here, these were some of the responses. R1800 seems at least worth it. But for R600-700 im not so sure. How do the caps work then? With regards to premier, clients and wealth. Im searching but not finding any more info

On premier Lvl 5:
Max checkers = 3000eb
Max clicks = 3000eb
Max engen = 4000eb (@R4 a Litre)
Max smartspend (25k overall spend on CC) = 6000eb

The above excludes netflix, spotify, engen double earn, clicks seniors

This is how people earn approx R1800 a month on premier. You need to channel spend through clicks, checkers and engen + over and above this reach your smartspend caps.

All of this can be found in the calculator on the ebucks website.

Thanks for the info, really valuable. Do you by any chance have the same info of all that but for private clients and private wealth? To compare
