What is this instant payment rubbish. How do I use it with an account number from another bank? It's asking for a card number? Do I need the recipient's card number?

Really thought I did my homework decently, but nowhere saw these caps.
If you didn't see the spend caps, then you definitely didn't.

Does the Private Clients account fit your spend amounts better? Upgrade to that.

I'm using FNB Pay for the 1st time now to pay an Easypay account .

The transaction seemed to get 80% of the way - and then I got an error .

It's reserved now, but I don't see anything under history .

Safe to assume that it didn't work and I can do it again?

I also got an InContact to say it was paid - so maybe has gone though .

But looks like FNB is down now to check the payment history

EDIT : Nothing in history

I was having a look at the tracker on mobile app.

Is the Cash@till requirement gone? Please tell me it is! It's such a rash trying to draw at a supermarket and sometimes they don't have enough cash and bla bla when I want to pay my home engineers ;)

Yes it is

It will only show in history once it's cleared. The reservation is just a "hold" for that amount on your account, the actual deduction will happen when it's cleared...

Thanks @Mike Hoxbig .

I guess if I got the InContact saying the amount was reserved,. it would have been processed even though I got the error?

Yep, did the receipt show approved?

That's basically a guarantee to the merchant that the funds have been secured and they can release the goods.

If there was an issue with the financial then you would get another incontact to say it's been reversed. The error could be something silly like a double tap detected by the device or something...

Edit: sorry see now that you were doing an easypay. Give it a few days and see if it shows in your history

Is there another way to earn on engen spend after reaching cap on pc?

I escalated the issue of not getting 500 points for the linked FNBy account last week. I've just been contacted by the consultant who confirmed that my child's details were linked in 2021 and thus I should have gotten the points under the new rules. They are doing a re-run on Friday and I'm being bumped up to lvl 5, so will be getting the difference in ebucks.

Yay!

If I can help, I have both discovery Miles and ebucks, and we currently earn about 1300 a month on each, depending on petrol etc. I have the premier account FNB and gold account discovery. Never really worried about flight discounts overseas as the partners both had charged more than other airlines

EG I book tickets on Lufthansa to Frankfurt that were cheaper than discovery with discounts. So for me the flight discounts are a bit of a marketing trick, depends where you fly I suppose. Local flights might be better comparison.

If it helps, discovery have added checkers as a healthy food partner from next year sometime. So all grocery shopping can be done in one location then. Just pay healthy and unhealthy separately.

What do you think the earn potential would be on the highest Discovery account, and how difficult would it be for unhealthy people to get there?

Has anyone added a friend as a "spouse" as part of their family in order to obtain the ebucks level points for the category. If I am correct, the bank accounts remain separate accounts.

I have also noticed not receiving the points. How exactly does this work as my child was linked? I went to FNB and was assisted to open a savings account for my child, as my child already has a FNBy. The lady opened a savings account, and linked a monthly contribution from my bank account to the savings account. I am thinking now that this may have been applied incorrectly. Maybe the funds should come from the FNBy account directly to the savings account.

I pay the fnby saving directly from my cheque accounts and got the full 1000..I pay R202 just to be sure
