It's a completely separate account so she will also have to get to level 5
The PW pricing guide is a bit confusing
https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/pricing-guide/Private-Wealth-Pricing-guide.pdf

If on the bundled pricing option, does the R470pm include the fee for the linked spousal account?
i.e.
If R100k minimum balance is kept in the main account on bundled pricing option, will the fee for the spousal account be waived or does the spousal account need a minimum balance as well?

Is there any other specific benefit to having a Spousal account?

I don't know for sure but my banker told that it's completely separate so I didn't bother investigating further.

Ok heads up guys. The Global account is subject to an annual fee if you have a linked card.
This fees are now indicated on the product brochure for your cheque account.
Cannot remember if these brochures always had the fees indicated, nonetheless, the global account page advertises the product as completely free. Well played FNB.

Product brochures/Pricing Guides:
PW: https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/pricing-guide/Private-Wealth-Pricing-guide.pdf
PC: https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/pricing-guide/Private-Clients-Pricing-guide.pdf
Premier: https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/pricing-guide/products/FNB-Pricing-Guide-Premier-Cheque-Account.pdf
Gold: https://www.fnb.co.za/downloads/pricing-guide/products/FNB_PricingGuide_GoldChequeAndCC.pdf
On page 21 of the PC brochure, annual card fee for a card in 1 currency seems to be zero if on Bundled pricing
I'm guessing you are on Unlimited Pricing option?

My understanding is that the linked spousal account is a separate account costing R275, which is significantly cheaper than having a second unlinked PW account at R470pm. Also assuming that spouse would need their own R100k in that account to waive their R275 fee. Benefits would be everything a PW account gets at a much lower monthly fee.
At least that's how I interpret the pricing guide wording.

You think they will take away Dischem vouchers because of unipin. The voucher works for medicine as well... Essentially subsidising 40 percent of that not just healthy food. I'm assuming if I buy airtime there is also a problem with that?
I swiftly ignore their complaints about our use of vouchers. Last time I took too long to get benifit. I wil save a bit now while I can.

Did your upgrade go smoothly and do you remember what date you upgraded? Was there any spend that wasn't recognised on your old credit cards?
Yes, all went smoothly and I had no issues. I upgraded a few days after the eBucks allocation. My wife also upgraded her account around the 24th of the month and also had no issues.

Look at vitality active rewards. There were no loopholes or exploitations, yet they reduce rewards year on year.

It's the nature of the beast so make hay while the sun shines.
For sure but the difference here is these discounted retailer vouchers are opt-in, if the retailer realises they are getting shafted wholesale they can decide to cut them at any time.
