Salary does not have much to do with the eB reward level.
I'm sure my salary is below average when compared to others here but I hit level 5 on PC with ease.

I was on premier and hitting my cap and losing lots of ebucks.
Made the switch to PC, stayed on level 5 and now earning way more than the increase in account fee.

If you are hitting your spend caps, take a look at the calculator and see what you can do to level up on a higher account.
Might be easier than you think.

The only reason I see to stay on gold is if you spend less than R1700 at Checkers, R1500 on fuel and R7500 in total.
Otherwise you are just losing out.
yup totally agree on those figures.
I have 16 accounts with FNB
I score very high on all levels with regards to eBucks.
BUT because i dont earn enough on the black card statuses i was dumped straight to Level 0 earning 0 ebucks every month. The only eBucks i was earning was from my purchases on Takealot and that is it. Fokkoli more, zilch nothing.
All i did now was cancel those cards and got the GOLD and bam Im on L5 again.

I see no one asked, so I will. Why do you have 16 accounts with FNB?

I might be missing out on something...

I have been with FNB since they were Barclays and i had a Bob-T card in the 80s.
Anyways, I have always stuck with them and about 10yrs ago or more when eBucks was launched there were points awarded to what accounts you have.
Slowly but surely over about a years space I opened accounts, and more accounts. Trying to figure out what eBucks gives rewards for and so forth.
Some of the accounts I opened was late at night and I was drunk. Like my 12 month account, it is like a 32 day account but 12 months. I opened 2 of them. Drunk.
I then took out a Smartdevice as well as you also earn eBucks.
Then took out a homeloan, more eBucks
....shares, took out Sharebuilder, and then Sharesaver
Had no idea WTF i was doing but just clicked away at all accounts that were been offered and soon I was on level 5 eBucks and very happy.
I rode the system for FNB rewards and in the long run I am happy. I earn more than what FNB charges me monthly

I remember Bob-T. :)

I've had accounts on and off with them and Trustbank back in the days, but only returned full-time when Absa and Std bank pissed me off one too many time.

I'm thinking about upgrading to PW but will probably need to get a revolving loan facility. Thinking of using it for a day then paying it off. Do you guys know the costs of this facility?

Yeah will charged around 50 bucks I think. The fee goes on the revolving loan account.

The revolving loan is subject to an average usage rule. I don't know how FNB calculate this.

Anyone here have an FNBy account? Are there any fees for withdrawing funds from a FNBy savings account?

Can't comment on what the charge is but it's a pay as you use account (with no monthly account fee). So there will be a fee.
