how long do you have to be in overdraft for R1000
24 hours. I usually transfer just over a grand and leave it a bit longer to be safe. I have had issues before where the OD didn't kick in.

Another way to tell if it worked is to check your detailed balance of your account. If there is an interest accrued charge, it worked.

Doing it over weekends and public holidays is also touch and go for me.

Post here if it works. I will only be able to test it out later.

Also let us know is it was an NFC or MST payment terminal.
Also tried after reading these posts. Works as should.
Used in on a non-NFC terminal at checkers.
Only weird thing, the cashier asked which account, cheque, savings or credit account. Not sure why. It was credit card that was loaded in the app.

I'm assuming the FNB app itself does not support MST payment? Otherwise the only use for Samsung Pay is the additional reward cards you could load, not sure if those work with MST also.

I think that Samsung is the only manufacturer who supports MST. I used it again at a restaurant tonight and it worked perfectly.

So are Samsung Pay transactions online or in-store? I'm guessing in-store.

I tried it now at Checkers and the first try it declined. Teller said it might be her machine as I'm not the first one to try today. Asked her to try again. Second time the machine wanted a card number with space to fill in the entire card number. I was not sure if I should use the actual card number or the virtual number and I was not going to type in the whole number. Just let it and used my card.

True, only thing is they capped at diff amounts.

Though since the bank has to allow implementation I'm sure FNB counts it as in store.

Mine also said 'Error' first time but teller didnt have to do anything. The machine just said try again.

Not sure what spend it will count as, as the credit card number on the payment receipt shows the Samsung virtual card number.

Shop update in progress. Is this usual, or can I hope to see new items (not vouchers) at 40% off when it's done?

So jealous. Blerry Apple Pay is taking too long.
They charge the merchant for use though, isn't? Maybe checkers/makro/pick and pays will support them. Doubt it will be as widely 'supported' as Samsung Pay.

No extra costs incurred versus a normal card swipe for the merchant actually.

The delay is with Apple negotiating security issues probably

Ah ok. Was under the wrong impression from some other random thread a while back.

I know because I am a merchant and a Samsung Pay rep came along and activated the service and noted that there was no added costs in their brochure.
