What we do is:
Since I was already established on fnb and ebucks... My wife has the cheapest fnb account she can. I then have an extra credit card and we just use my credit card account for all the ebuck related spending.
Although if she had her own account you'd have double the limits (on both the earn and spend sides)

Just upgraded my credit card limit to via the app pre approved thingy. Noticed it said my personal interest rate is 13.25 or 13.75% percent, and max rate something something 20.75%. Where can you check your interest rate on the internet bank or app? Last I remember my interest rate was like 21% when I first signed for my credit card 3 years ago.

You need to wait for your first bank statement where it will reflect. Mine was 16.85% and after I complained it was reduced to 14.85%. I think the 13.25% is the absolute minimum and I am not sure who qualifies for this. My credit record is pretty good and my rate is still more than 1% higher.

Can anyone tell me about ebucks and your spouse. Whilst clicking around on the travel shop in ebucks, there is the option to add your spouse. How does one get the option to add their spouse to your ebucks account. Must you have the spousal card added to your banking profile? Do you earn ebucks independently? Hopefully this makes sense

At the travel shop, adding your spouse gives her access to your 40% discount on flights even if she is not on level 5. You, your spouse and your kids qualify for 40% discount on flights if they are added to your profile

@TheSlinger do you not hit your thresholds that way? especially Checkers and Engen?

We do yes. But the cash spend we're aiming for each month that's over the threshold wouldn't get us a significant enough ebuck increase to warrant paying double fees. So it all comes down to your personal situation.
When we do hit the limits, we take it as opportunity to use some different shops for the sake of variety. My wife also drives to some small towns for work and sometimes an engen isn't available in any-case.

My banker linked mine. I'm not sure if there is a manual way of doing it

Hi guys. Apologies if this has been asked before, but why would I not earn, pro rata at least, for eBucks on normal shop/online swipes? I am aware that I’m very well above the limit for gold. Would this have an impact on all your earn? Does it mean you earn nothing if you go over the cap? Thanks in advance
On your credit card you need to spend R3000 to earn and you will also go up another level as far as i know. I had a similar problem on my credit card not earning eBucks sometime back

Are you still on gold Chuck, or you moved up?

i downgraded myself 2 levels in December. On the black card i was not earning R30k a month and as a result i earned zero ebucks every month no matter how i qualified on other stuff. Been on black is expensive, so is platinum, so i demanded to be put on the lowest pleb system there is which is Gold. Monthly account costs have now come down and i am on Level 4 eBucks so very happy, building up my 1 long term account to a minimum R7500 savings and then i will be on Level 5.
Not falling for that smart fancy card stuff again.

FNB has recently partnered with iStore where FNB gives a reduced interest rate (10.5%) on Apple products bought on credit. I just purchased the new iPad Air (3rd gen) for R7999 (R570.97 per month for 17 months) on the scheme. Do I qualify for eBucks on the whole amount or only on my monthly installment or non at all?

Discovery will give you free iPhone with banking one. If you reach your banking goals for a year then its basically free.

I'm excited for it (I do the apple watch), but I've been waiting years now and it seems they've only just opened up to 2 000 people after promises of a broad launch in March. So, yeah maybe I'll be on-boarded in time to benefit from the iPhone XX
