How are you guys applying for a gold fusion via the app? I only get premier fusion options or is the only way via the branch?

Is think brand any good? The ones that sold out quick were American Touristers.
I would 0/5 not recommend Medoodi. I bought one of their suitcases on Takealot for my last trip. One zip broke before departure when packing but figured I'd wing it (as it were), but on the return leg packing the second one broke (I was being very gentle) and ended up having to get one of those luggage belts and having to wrap it just so that it could be checked in.

I managed to get a full refund from Takealot though upon return, so big ups to them. Check out some user reviews of Medoodi products on Takealot and you'll find people have had similar gripes.

I learnt the hard way - "Goedkoop is duur koop"

I am sorry if this has been asked before, I can't find it:

If you go to the Moneymarket counter (at Spar) and buy prepaid electricity, does this count as in-store spend? I know the rules say no eBucks on Moneymarket purchases, but that is under Checkers. I am talking specifically at Spar.

How else could I buy prepaid electricity and earn eBucks? I am currently doing EFT's using the Wire IT system. Thanks

Edit:- I just realized I can probably use my WW credit card to buy it and then pay that at WW with my FNB, thus becoming in store spend.

This should actually be discussed in the current rules thread but none the less.
You can buy prepaid power through the PnP App, then it will count as online spend.
Do try and stay away from EFT's, if you can swipe rather do that.

SnapScan also nowadays support certain bill types and prepaid electricity within the APP.

Almost anything swiped on a speed point will usually count as in store spend unless its a casino where its regarded as cash withdrawal.

If a debit order goes off your Fusion account and you are in the negative, does it incur interest from day 1?

Yes, from my experience it seems to work that way. What I do is have all my debits go off within a few day of salary while in the positive. Cash and EFTs done from capitec account which receives funds via spot (online transaction)

They're pushing single facility hard over structured faciility for PC/PW this year.
I'm wondering if it's worth doing.

Not sure I'm happy with no distinction between my bond and my transactional account...

Thank you. I have to change the way I have been banking for years now.

Rather use the 40% off Cape union mart and buy the K-WAY bags. Very good quality and value for money.
interesting thing about K-Way bags;

I wanted to buy a Thule bag a few years ago and the shop assistant asked me why dont I consider a K-Way bag as they have a lifetime warranty.

After a bit of discussion I asked the assistant if I can bring my old K-Way bag in for repairs (at that point in time it was about 10 years old). Obviously I had no slip, took my bag in, they replaced all damaged buckles, clips and zips for FREE. I got my bag back a few weeks later. Needless to say I bought another K-way bag after that, there was no reason to buy anything else ever again.

10/10 would recommend to anyone

I'm on gold, to reach L5 I want to change my Gold Cheque to Gold fusion. I still want to keep my credit card for the 55 days interest free and be able to eft while using credit. Would the best be to upgrade the account after the 8th to prevent losing ebucks? Do you need to pay for the new fusion card as well? From what I understand by reading this thread your account number stays the same?

So they've removed the "Do you maintain a monthly balance of xxx in your cheque account" option to get points. That sucks...going to be tough to stay on RL5 without it.

This just came through from eBucks. They are pushing hard for "inclusive family banking" and linking your accounts. Spouse won't qualify for travel discount anymore if it is not linked...

How your spouse & kids can continue to qualify for discounts
For your spouse to continue qualifying on the main member’s discounts of up to 40%* off on flights with eBucks Travel, both you & your spouse need to hold a qualifying Private Clients Cheque, Credit or Fusion Account or be on the Spousal pricing option. Your spouse must also be part of your FNB Family Banking Profile.

As the main eBucks member you will still qualify for discounts when booking for yourself without being on the spousal pricing option.
