Ahh ffs, now I have to live with the regret
Yeah I learned that lesson the 1 time it was on the weekly specials and sold out the same day. So I knew that if it came on BF I wouldn't wait and get it asap.

Yes, but if you are unhappy with the clearing times, do a manual payment before the auto payment date, which will clear immediately and the auto payment will not go off (as long as you have selected the correct option).
Yes, but you select "Auto Payment" for that purpose- not having to worry about late payment.
And ensuring enough funds on the day of debit should be enough, right? Apparently not: if the full available amount is not kept there until it appears on the cc side, customer pays penalty, interest, etc... Beautiful!
And they move your auto payment date whenever "the system" deems appropriate, not where you want it.

That was fast but I don't have enough ebucks for it. I was hoping for the 500gb Playstation.

On another note, why is it against the ts and cs to buy and sell ebucks?

Surely this will help get people the ebucks needed to buy from the store. Why doesn't fnb remove that and start an ebucks exchange?

Please put it as a suggestion

There was an article recently about the decisions and restrictions during the creation of ebucks. I feel it may have something to do with that.

Because not everyones ebucks are the same value to FNB.
If someone on say level 1 has earned R1000 worth of ebucks, they can only get level 1 discount of 5%. So the total value is R1052.63.
For a person on level 5 with 40% discount, R1000 is worth R1666.
If level 1 sells to level 5, then ebucks loses about R600.

Not that this is an official reason, but if I was the business owner thats how I would think of it.

It's not that straight-forward. You don't always buy things on discount. Eg. if I pay at Takealot with eBucks, it costs the same to eBucks as it would if a level 1 person pays. It's stll 10c / EB.

I'm dealing with the worst case scenario for ebucks which isnt even the worst case.
Sometimes ebucks offers products at a much reduced value and offer a further 40% discount on that reduced price. Then the R600 loss becomes an even bigger amount. I picked an easy one to calculate.

Do a poll in this forum asking how users spend ebucks and I'm confident the vast majority rarely use their ebucks 1:1 value.
Theres a reason why ebucks have a high value of 11-13c per ebuck on the open market, because no one is going to buy ebucks at 11c, only to spend it on takealot at 1:1.
That means you paying more for a takealot product using purchased ebucks.
