"Smart spend level used" is updated once around the 10-15 th when allocation was done.
Your example illustrate my point.
Assume this is December smart spend.
You were level 5 for October, updated 10-15 November on the system.
You were level 4 for November, updated 10-15 December on the system.
During December you hit levels 10 000, 20 000, 30 000 before the 10-15 dec update. So level 5 was used.
You hit levels 40000 and 50000 during the latter part of December, after your level was updated to 4, so level 4 was used. So it supports exactly what I said. Your smart spend uses your standard ebucks rewards level that is updated with the allocation, so updated once a month.
But yes, for a calendar month two different reward levels can be used (only if your reward level changes that month), one for early in a month, another for later in the month.

No smart spend is variable and it updates whenever ebucks decides to update it, not once per month.

Does anyone have a contact or a way to get hold of someone at the ebucks shop. I am still waiting for my TV order from black friday. I have called the ebucks helpline many times, then they just say they will send my query through, days go by and I hear nothing. Last I heard was last week Tuesday when they said the supplier has stock, they just need to organized delivery, I will probably get it by Friday(Last week). Now almost a week later and nothing.

The level they use, is always the ebucks reward level on record for you (which updates only when allocation runs happen) at the time of smart spend calculation.

smart spend updates every few days, at least that was what it used to do, i used to be able to track which of my purchases are in the new smart spend amount and i used to track it like that. january 2022 the app has said updated a few times already, but the points havent updated for things i have done during the period, nor has the rand amount updated properly, its all very wrong and a bit concerning seeing that the rand value of ebucks earned between RL 4 and RL 5 is a big difference if they say you didnt make RL 5 but you know you did. Then the battle begins.

Never in my life did I think we will have a black Thursday and then BAM, ebucks hits us with 20 different nappies less 40% for the entire month of January.

Can't cant wait for Gary in accounting to place drill bits less 40% for the month off Feb.

Has anyone failed to receive the 500 bonus points for the FNB Pay using your Virtual Card rule?

I received the points the past few months and I definitely had it set to use my VC, but haven't (yet) received it this month and when I look into the "select card to pay with" option it gives me my Premier Card as the only one to select.

I haven't changed anything, but in the past it said Virtual Credit card.

You will have to go to settings ->FNB pay and add the virtual card

Ebucks monthly reminders:

2. Set up at least 3 Smart budget categories and access (view) your Smart budget every month [1000 points] (not applicable to Private Wealth clients)

3. Maintain a healthy credit score and access your Smart budget each month (not applicable to Private Wealth clients):

Light amber status: 1000 points
Light green status: 1500 points
Dark green status: 2000 points

4. (if you have kids) Have a transactional FNBy account OR grow your FNBy savings account balance [1000 points]:

Premier: R200
PC: R300
PW: R400

5. App transactions (app payments/transfers) [2000 points]:

Premier: 6 transactions
PC: 8 transactions
PW: 10 transactions

6. FNB Pay app payment (Tap to pay, Scan to Pay or Checkout) [500 points/1000 points with VCC]:

Premier: 2 transactions
PC: 3 transactions
PW: 4 transactions

Two easy options to achieve this:

6.1 Buy airtime from Takealot and select Masterpass as the checkout method and scan the QR code using FNB Pay.

6.2 Donate to Gift of the Givers by scanning their Masterpass code and paying with FNB Pay: https://giftofthegivers.org/make-a-difference/donate-with-masterpass/

Option 6.2 is a bit easier and faster than option 6.1 (you don't have to add to cart and do the whole checkout process)

7. Streaming or online platforms:

Make use of/make a payment to any of the following platforms:

Deezer, iTunes, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Showmax, SweepSouth, Audible, Google Play, Mr D Food, Uber OR Uber Eats, PlayStation, Xbox, Google, Bolt, Checkers Sixty60

I did 2 scan to pay transactions earlier in the month. Track my rewards was showing it until this weekend. Now it says 0 transactions. This has brought be down to level 4 according to the calculator.

Anyone else having this issue?
Should I wait until the allocations are done and see what on what level the allocate or should I try and get it sorted now?

Yes, rather wait.

The "Track my Rewards" is a bit buggy to say the least.

I have been consistently hitting level 5 so unless they make some stuff up I don't expect to miss it.

I see international reward flights are back on Ebucks.com but no discounts (perhaps as Emirates is not listed yet)

Generally when does the eBucks reward level get updated? I slipped up in December so my rewards level dropped to 4 for January, so now I'm waiting to go back up to 5 to buy electricity, shop at Checkers, and hopefully fill up at Engen today before the fuel price increase. Does the update happen on the 1st, or is that wishful thinking?
