Hi, has anybody got charged interest on their FNB credit card , cos FNB was having issues with debit order processing ? I see a charge on my wife's CC and she definitely had the funds in her account for the payment to be processed?

Yeah, surprised me to see that charge. Minimal though, but will query it.

My wife's was around 600 but she had made some big annual payments in Dec / Jan via the CC

Gonna query it too. I can assure you that FNB won't fix up what they know is their f up unilaterally. Wonder how much they gonna score from people who don't pay attention.

I got hit with an interest charge of R1300 in Jan, cos when they took the debit order payment (around 60k ) on 30/12 , there wasn't funds in my current account. I was on holiday and got my dates wrong . Transferred money into my current account on 31/12 (early morning) and the CC payment went immediately off. Thought I timed it perfectly.

When I got my statements a few days later, saw the service fee on my current acc for insufficient funds (fair enough).

Still waiting a month later for FNB to come back to me re how/why I had to pay a cost of R1300 for 1 days 'interest' on a debt of 60k (payment due amount). I don't dispute an interest charge. The amount is just wrong. The debt was cleared within 24-36 hours.

Interest is charged from date of transaction, if not paid by interest-free due date.

Just saw my Feb statement. They reversed the interest charges of R1300. Sweet. Don't know why they never came back to me on it . But not complaining as my concern was resolved.

On PC, on a spousal account and the main spouse lost income.
1. When will fnb realize this (not sufficient deposits and therefore no longer meets the requirements for PC) and then I assume they will no longer qualify for ebucks?
2. When/ how is the 2nd spouse affected?
3. When will we lose eb's family points?

You can fake the requirements. Just transfer money from another bank or account and transfer it back, you dont even need a salary to meet the requirements.
